Tim: Bruce is gonna be so angry at me.

Dick: *having read that validating feelings is important* Yeah, that would suck. Last time I made him mad he kicked me out. But I just showed up a month later and he completely forgot. So it’ll work out fine! *cheery smile*

Tim: *eyes wide* He could kick me out?

Jason: *takes out pistol* If he kicks either of you out, I’ll shoot him.

Dick: Thanks, but it’s fine.

Jason: Oh no…I know that look.

Dick tries to hug him and ends up grazed by a bullet. Tim is now worried that he’ll be kicked out. Jason is even angrier than he was at the start.

All of them are extra hurt. None of them are comforted. But it’s the thought that counts.

The Batfamily, by proxy of being raised by Bruce (undercover pro, lies every other word) and Alfred (actor in another life and in possession of the world’s blankest poker face), are probably the best at just running with something (a con, a secret identity, an undercover job, etc) and acting it out 100% believably. With zero hesitation.

Someone runs up to Red Hood one night in an alley and says “pretend to be my boyfriend! please, he’s following me!” and suddenly that’s not Jason Todd, Crime Lord. That’s Todd from the upper east side, and what the fuck man? leave her alone, you’re fucking tripping!

You can’t tell me that Damian hasn’t trained Titus to use those buttons that talk. Like he has, Treats, Walk, Play, etc. nothing like too abstract. And eventually Alfred the cat catches on and they don’t realize it until in the middle of the night he’s spamming the treat button over and over.

They’ll give him treats but he’ll just go right back to spamming. And eventually they have to put the button away, but then he’ll spam the other buttons.

They decide that it’s probably best that they retire the buttons :(

Having Dick as the rambunctious, feral, and unhinged first child must've given him SO much whiplash once Jason entered the picture. Lil guy just vibed in his own world. Just reading books and doing schoolwork. Baby Jason hurt nobody.

Bruce will just be going over the ground rules of the manor, remembering all the chaos Dick brought upon the household.

Bruce: No swinging from the chandelier.

but then Jason's just quietly doing his own thing, maybe even helping Alfred with some chores, reading, or just lounging about in the manor. In general, just causing no trouble and Bruce just turns to Alfred, all worried like, "Is he sick? I don't think children are supposed to behave this way."
