BANG!

The sound of a distant firing gun would be enough to make anyone uneasy, the sound of a shot, the sound of a life potentially being taken, would be enough to shake anyone - especially if you happen to be the green plumber who was meant to be the victim.

“ ... Tch! ” Though, at least it wasn’t enough to sway the taller bounty hunter who now stood beside him, arm cannon extended between himself... and, as Luigi may see through the sound of a crushed metal collapsing to the floor, a bullet; one which Samus’ cannon had played a rather impromptu shield for Luigi against. In only an additional tilt of her cannon, a beam shot launched into a nearby bush, and the sound of a collapsed body tumbling from within could be heard.

“ ... I’d worried that news of your assault may eventually result in the arrival of armed thrill-seekers aiming to go a step further.. I see it wasn’t unfounded. ” She took a moment to brush off her arm cannon, examining where the bullet had impacted. There was a clear dent, but not one that wouldn’t be fixed by the power suit’s impact healing capabilities. “ Are you alright, Luigi? ” It didn’t look like they had anything more than a stray bullet to sling at least, but very much better safe than sorry.

          The poor dude... He felt his pain in his soul. This was the closest he’d gotten to figuring out what was going on around these parts, but he couldn’t deny that the sight of himself, technically, wounded left him incredibly uneasy.

          --- And he hated it with every fiber of his being. He thought this was just a case of him being a worrywart, but this? This was dangerously unnerving. If this was the kind of danger he was going to have to jump into, then he’d better make sure he knows what he’s doing. Better safe than sorry, after all.  After carefully setting the other down in the robot, L closed the above hatch and took off. He made sure to take extra care to not make sharp turns with Brobot, flying considerably slower than he normally did. He wanted to get him home as soon as possible, but getting bumped around was completely out of the question.

          Even with an alternate world, Brobot knew how to make it ‘home’. How long he took was a mystery, but at least they’d made it. As soon as they’d landed out front, L left the robot first. He wasn’t sure if his own key would work, but it was worth a shot, right? Better to figure out now than have to pick the lock with the injured one over his shoulder or something. L’s already a wimp. He doesn’t want to drop the guy.

     “You look marvelous, Luigi, dear! I always thought it’d be better to get you your own dresses so you could quit stealing mine.” Laughter left her lips as she returned, more outfits and matching accessories in hand. The Toadster Boutique was a favorite shop of Peach’s, often stopping by to pick up the latest trends whenever passing the store. But ever since Luigi had expressed joy for dresses, she had always wanted to bring him here. Buying Luigi anything he wanted? What a dream!

     “How about some accessories to make the color pop? Or you could try a different style to accentuate different areas of the outfit. Other types of dresses make for a chance to mix and match styles. So you can make a unique look every time! Filing into whatever’s popular is no fun. Taking those hot trends and making something new from it and redesigning the populous? That’s where it’s at!”

Gently guided back to bed by the one and only Dr. Luigi, Keahi couldn’t help but blink as he realized how easily he gave into their wishes. Usually, the King of the Ring would claw, fight, and tear for the chance to show off his bravado whilst yelling about his pride in his skills and build at the same time. However, be it from Luigi’s soft eyes or perhaps even their calming and gentle scent, the giant lug that was the Incineroar only shrugged before he huffed out his retort.

“I g u e s s.” Turning his head to the side and drumming a claw on the plush and angelic cushions under his body, Keahi restlessly fidgeted. “I mean, I keep TRYIN’ to tell ya-- I’m REALLY fine. But if you HAVE to find whatever friggin’ medicine you’re lookin’ for, then I GUESS-- I friggin’ GUESS-- that I’ll let’cha do it. I mean, if it’s like any medicine that I know, then it HAS to be somethin’ that’ll put the -NCH back in my PUNCH.”

It’d been quite some time since his last trip to the mushroom kingdom. Between his research of paranormal activity and managing the Starbeans in the beanbean kingdom, he’d had next to no free time. He’d recently received a letter requesting he open a Starbeans location within a mall in Toad Town, and was making his way towards the location, when he noticed a familiar green hat among the toads.

 Weaving his way in-between the toads, he made his way up to the green-clad plumber, speaking up  in his usual, jovial tone. “Luigi, my boy! I haven’t seen you in a good chunk of weeks! How have you been, sonny?”

     ❛ Is today some sort of holiday? There seems to be food all over the place. Even Momo and Luigi are making some delectable treats... I really shouldn’t but I MUST have some. ❜

Whisper invited himself over to the cooking duo and grabbed some takoyaki with a pair of chopsticks he had handy. AH, SOOOO GOOOD~
