"Hey, Isabelle...!" Looks like someone missed a certain secretary! Fox slipped a laugh within his greeting to her while gently but definitely joyfully embracing her. "How have you been? It's been a while!"

          Being as small as she is, wrapping her arms completely around him was no easy task, but she manages to get around his neck with a happy little hug, tail waggling furiously behind her as she did so.

          “I’ve been okay! I finally took one of those ‘vacations’ Mayor tells me so much about. Truth be told, I’d rather be working. It get so dull sometimes!”

     Hey, it got him up, didn’t it? To the vulpine’s worried eyes, a pat to his cheek was administered, giving him a light kiss to the forehead while she was at it. “No, no. Everything’s fine, darling. The only danger right now is missing our plane to Isle Delfino. You have all of your necessities packed for the trip, right? Your clothes, towels, sunscreen, and what have you? Once we head out to the airport, I can’t imagine anyone being too thrilled about being held up last minute. And Geno here has a window seat to get to! He thought it best to check on you, and I’m glad he did!”

     Some toting of Fox’s bags place themselves onto his bed, right by his side. “You can get the rest of your sleep on the plane if you’d like. Though, you do seem quite alert.”

“Don’t you dare lift me up.”

“What’re y’gonna do, fire me?” 

He hoists Fox over his shoulder anyway. What a guy!

"Any room for me with all these blankets?" Fox chuckled at the mere sight of the blanket pile on that poor couch. And poking out of those blankets was Geno, who had obviously outdone himself with his blanket fort.

❝ oh, i don’t know. ❞  the lilt in his tone made it clear that he was messing around, his grin proudly displaying how chuffed he was with his creation. ❝ it is a little bit tight, and i can’t be sure you could squeeze in here without being a little extra snug… but you know what? ❞

that smile turned that slightest bit more wild, and he shuffled, the amount of space left behind barely enough to house fox at his side. ❝ to heck with it, we’ll make room. ❞

   Okay, so this first round of trying to teach Fox how to cook things that weren’t just instant noodles had failed spectacularly. Dramatic as ever, Luigi lay sprawled out on the bathroom floor like a fallen maiden, clutching his poor stomach and wailing in pain. Face green as his clothes, he looked over to his companion in suffering who didn’t appear to have it much better.
