only one bed
dialogue prompts
"I guess someone needs to sleep on the floor."
"This will not be awkward at all."
"We're both adults, we can sleep in one bed."
"It does look like a very comfortable bed..."
"One bed is one thing, but only one pillow and one blanket?"
"You will survive sleeping next to me for one night."
"We're both tired, so please just get in."
"It's not like we haven't slept together before."
"This totally does not feel like the movies."
"I will take the couch, it's no problem."
"Quit acting like I have the plague."
"Just put a pillow between us."
"No one needs to sleep in a bathtub, that's ridiculous."
"I don't want to freeze, so just let's get it over with."
"We're friends, this doesn't need to be weird."
"It's just for one night, we can handle that."

I adore whumpees who act like they’re fine for the caretaker’s sake, who accept physical touch even when they don’t want to for fear of the caretaker leaving them. I adore whumpees who think caretaker is their new whumper. I adore whumpees who want so desperately to make caretaker happy, but don’t know how (still in the slave mindset of “how can I serve caretaker?”) when all caretaker really wants is to see whumpee heal and think of their own happiness for a change. I adore whump where the physical danger is gone, but the emotional rollercoaster has just begun.
You. Get. It. 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

When I was a little girl, my mother told me a story. It went something like this:
There was a hero, brave and kind and strong. When Evil rose up, he took up his sword and fought against it. There was a long and hard battle, but the hero triumphed, and everyone lived happily ever after.
That, I learnt, is bullshit. Evil is infinitely more powerful than Good could ever be. All the heroes in the world could never make a dent in it.
So why am I taking up my sword?

Best-friends-younger-sibling is cute cos it's like "mate, I'd rather it be you than anyone. But touch them in any way they don't like, and you're dead. And don't make me sick by touching them in my presence or telling me about it like you'd normally get away with if it were anyone else."
But best friends older sibling... boy get ready for some rivalry for their attention and get ready to switch up the dynamic between you and your bestie with the constant threats of becoming their elder sibling in law, thus giving you older sibling authority and privileges.
But you know what hits the best - when the mother approves of you more than they approve of your best friend.
And yes I am specifically talking about Jegulus and Hinny. Also I'm bored, feeling like role-playing as either Draco, Ron, Harry, Neville or one of my OCs. Who wants to RP with me?

I think people misunderstand "x fell first, y fell harder " trope because it's not about like the one who fell harder loves the other person harder. It's just that the one who fell first falls in a graceful way, one step at the time, maybe gradually over a span of time. The one who fell harder smashes trough the air, there's blood everywhere, everything is fine-

they're divorced. they weren't even married. this isn't romantic. they're definitely not platonic. they're cinematic parallels. they are fighting the narrative. they slowly built their relationship. they rely and trust each other. they were aggressively thrown into this. they want to bite each other's head off. they kill for each other. they live for each other. they should kiss. they would put each other in a blender. they're insane. they don't even realise. they're fully aware it.

Situation that's been rolling around my head recently:
Whumpee hears people entering Whumper's house. They desperately start trying to think of a plan to escape or call for help from these strangers.
But before they can do anything, Whumper comes to retrieve Whumpee themself. Because the guests in the house are people after Whumper's own heart, and Whumpee is going to be their entertainment for the evening.
Honestly, the possibilities for all sorts of whumpiness are endless.
or… hear me out, the one where whumpee — when whumper was away or wasn’t looking — desperately begged a stranger for help and told them how they were kidnapped by whumper, only for the stranger to chuckle and go tap whumper in the shoulder before telling them (whumper) they should “control their pet a little better”, all while smirking and looking whumpee right in the eye.
the pure terror and hopelessness when whumpee realized…

"I love asshole characters" bitches when the character is actually an asshole and isn't a "misunderstood bad boy with a soft side that can only be seen by them":
