Doing that project I don't want to do and my professor makes all the projects scenario based so that they're more exciting and fun. Well, if I have to build a fake life for myself, I'm going to have fun with it and put down that my partner's name is Eli and he'll be a computer programmer (sadly because I don't think I can slip by with making him a "martial arts instructor" and not (1) be fucked in this realistic fake scenario and (2) be too on the nose about what the fuck I'm doing).

I didn't want to fucking do this project because of this whole "look into the future" aspect it has to it. I hate that shit. Always have, probably always will. but anyway...

Yugi isn't bad at school because he's dumb or can't do the work he's bad at school because he has performance and test anxiety and can't focus on anything he doesn't actually have an interest in. He's a maths genius because he has to be when he plays so many card games that rely on mathematics. He can count cards when playing stuff like poker, which he learned from his grandfather, and can speak and write in a multitude of languages to varying degrees [really good with arabic dialects and hieroglyphic texts but can only speak passing french etc] but put him in a classroom where he's getting graded on that shit and the autism anxieties will make his brain shutdown

More often than not it's actually Atem doing his schoolwork because he loves learning in the class and the only reason nobody catches on is because they always switch back the second the class ends

I think people are too normal about just how much goes into making things.

I've gone through nearly sixty-six yards of yarn on my project so far. If I stacked myself up, it would take thirty-five mes just to equal that. And that's only after ribbing and two and a half rows of normal single crochet on a project that will be done in five pieces.

There is so much that goes into art. There are so many hours, material, blood, sweat, and tears that go into even the most simple of projects. Once you start realizing this, you start to truly appreciate everything about art.

Bought a whole book on how to alter any sock pattern to fit anyone properly and it turns out the big secret is actually forcing yourself to do the gauge swatch and I'm very annoyed
