Ryan and I went to high school together but did not know each other. There were many situations where we should have met but didn't. It wasn't until a couple years after college we connected on a dating app. After a couple dates we were both individually invited to a NYE ski weekend and both attended. We spent every weekend together after that and by the end of January boyfriend and girlfriend. Ryan moved from Hoboken to Weehawken after a couple months of dating and we decided to move in together by the end of the year. We have lived together in Weehawken now for almost 2.5 years. We added to our little family and adopted Nala last July during the pandemic. Josh’s proposal to Janet was so creatively beautiful. She adores lanterns (and Wataburger!) so he found a way to incorporate both! Recently engaged!?? It’s time to start vendor shopping this week! First things first… get your venue and your date but after that, what’s next? Here’s a couple of ideas in the order I think you should go looking: 1. Planner - because they will help with the next steps 2. Photographer - typically only one person in their team so if they’re booked, they’re booked ( unless you book a big company with lots of associates) 3. Rentals - to make sure they still have the inventory you need 4. Flowers - to figure out look and feel before moving onto other vendors 5. Catering - these guys can probably do multiple events in a day but also book up fast because food is very important 6. Attire - need time for alterations 7. Glam squad - schedule your engagement session on same day as makeup trial 8. Signs & Invites - now that you have idea of decor in the day, these pieces tie in the whole look 9. DJ - Figure songs and timeline with them now that most details are in place! 10. Cake - last but not least!
