"So that day, in music assembly, the teacher asked who knew the valley song. Your hand shot right up in the air. She stood you up on a stool and had you sing it for us. And I swear, every bird outside the windows fell silent. [...] And right when your song ended, I knew—just like your mother—I was a goner.”
[Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins]
I have a few more drawings for it and may post them if there’s any interest.
I’ve (obviously) been fixated on the dsmp lately, and then got a Hunger Games hyper fixation.. this was the outcome. I think I may write a fic for it once “White Noise” is finished.
Au overview
Dream is from District two, his mother, Puffy, was a victor in her own games when she was a teen. His brother, Foolish, never went into the games, but he always seemed to overshadow Dream.
So, when it was his last year in the reaping, Dream volunteered. He was a career, he’d already trained for the games, already knew he could win.
Anything to be better. To overshadow his brother. To get his mother’s attention- affection even…
The bad thing about the movie The Hunger Games is that both Katniss and Peeta do not eat the night lock berries nor are they able to put them in their mouths compared to the books, in which they did eat the berries but spit it out and I wish the movie was more faithful to the book which I'm annoyed.
when people are like "i didn't come here to make friends" i'm like thats sooooo unrelatable. i am always on the look out for some girl friends. I would be in that hunger games cornucopia like "your ex boyfriend did WHAT."
