Prior to its official release, OnePlus had claimed that their impending “10-year” flagship smartphone had already broken many DisplayMate records; however, the OEM did not say which records it had broken or in which specific regard.

The head of OnePlus’ China branch, Li Jie Louis, suggests that some of them may have to do with eye protection. This time around, the executive has determined that the display on the 12 is so excellent that it merits a second, in-depth examination on Weibo, emphasizing how it is poised to establish itself as a “industry benchmark” for user comfort and enjoyment.

Although BOE, rather than Samsung, the previous OnePlus partner, provided the 12’s “X1” display, the partners claim that they have spent the last two years refining the new 2K screen to be as brilliant and fluid as possible.

Li Jie Louis has also made hints that it would use the latest Rain Touch technology, which is now exclusive to the Ace 2 Pro. The launch date for the impending 11 successor is not mentioned in any of this fresh excitement, but given its current trajectory it most recently received NBTC clearance under its worldwide model number that event can’t be too far off.

The worldwide version of the OnePlus 12 was previously seen in the Geekbench test database, indicating that the next flagship will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. In comparison to its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has a 25% faster GPU and a 30% quicker CPU.

The worldwide OnePlus 12 edition just received China Quality Certification (CQC), indicating that 100W fast charging would be supported by the device. The same was previously disclosed in the 3C certification listing for the Chinese version of the OnePlus 12.

A few weeks ago, design renders for the OnePlus 12 were leaked online. The phone will have three back cameras, according to the leaked renders. It is confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will use a Sony LYTIA sensor. The phone is said to come with a 64MP telephoto lens with optical zoom and OIS as well as a 50MP Sony IMX581 sensor with ultra wide angle capabilities.

It’s also expected that the next OnePlus flagship would offer 50W wireless charging.

Overall, the Viewsonic VX2235wm is an excellent 22in widescreen monitor at a very decent price. The produced sound is reasonable but with the serious lack of volume, they become useless for many consumers. The included speakers are sub-standard and, even at its highest volume, not very loud. Unfortunately, this unit fails miserably in the sound department. There are also automated colour management systems and seven preset colour modes. In addition to these basic options there are also more specific colour calibration tools that change the colour temperature or choose a specific colour space to suit your needs. The calibration options are comprehensive and offer more than just the standard brightness, contrast and colour controls. PC and notebook users will appreciate this handy feature. The VX2235wm can accept both DVI-D and VGA D-Sub inputs at the same time from two sources, with a switching button that allows the user to change between each simply and easily. Below the bezel is two five watt speakers hidden behind a grill and the rear sports connections for DVI-D and VGA. This is broken up by a single metallic silver stripe finish down the middle of the stand. Similar to the current trend in LCD televisions, the Viewsonic has a piano black bezel and stand. We found no ghosting to speak of, nor anything that would indicate anything less than excellent performance all-round. We conducted speed and gaming tests to check for ghosting and to ensure its reported 5ms response time was accurate. The VX2235wm had no backlight bleeding and the colour reproduction was superb without any over-saturation. The horizontal viewing angle displayed no colour shift for 170 degrees and the vertical was also excellent at 160 degrees. The colour and greyscale tests were equally impressive with no signs of noise or image aberrations and the uniformity tests were flawless. The geometry and distortion tests were executed perfectly, while the sharpness and resolution tests showed no signs of distortion in either the vertical or horizontal axis. DisplayMate has a multitude of test images that are designed to push a monitor to its limits and reveal any inherent flaws. We put the Viewsonic through its paces by running an exhaustive set of tests using DisplayMate Video Edition at a resolution of 1680x1050 pixels. When you take the price into consideration, this attractive unit is easily one of the best value-for-money buys on the market. During our testing, we found no problems at all when it comes to image quality, but the integrated speakers were rather average. The VX2235wm is a 22in widescreen LCD monitor with a native resolution of 1680x1050 pixels. When it comes to price versus quality, Viewsonic come to the party time and time again with great monitors at a low price.
