i keep seeing people acting like defending katara is in some way defending bryke or their writing?
like no, me a woman saying you can’t call a female character a housewife, baby machine, cumbucket, village crone, incubator, yadda yadda yadda doesn’t mean i’m defending two men. far from it actually :)
because, news flash, you can criticize misogynistic writing without being misogynistic yourself!! 😃 which is all anyone is ever trying to tell you twisted souls
like i could care less about those men and in a perfect world i wouldn’t even know their names.
the only thing i’ll ever defend bryke from is “fans” showing up to places and flooding them with hate mail after the season 2 finale onwards (and they know who they are). no writer, author, artist, creative deserves to go through that but that has nothing to do with katara and asking y’all to stop calling her names
