Daylight MV by Harry Styles - why was it not the unreleased Two Ghosts MV 2.0? A timeline.
This video, released on July 19, 2023, is jam packed with Blondie and Haylor references. I think it was almost the sister project to the never released Two Ghosts MV…until it wasn’t. And I have an idea as to why.
Don’t believe me that it’s Haylor AF? Go read this amazing summary by @womanexile at whose request I am writing this timeline.
As we know, Harry was filming the video on and around May 10 and 11, 2022, based in articles and pap/drone photos from the time, like this Daily Mail article:
Let’s review the timeline:
April 22, 2022 - Harry performs at Coachella weekend 2 in Indio, CA.
April 26, 2022 - OW is onstage at CinemaCon in Las Vegas when she is served custody papers. H is not there.
But where is H? According to the article - circus training!
Late April/early May - Harry starts training in Kent, England with family-owned Sanctus Circus.
From the article:
“A source told [the publication]: Harry has spent weeks being taught circus skills for this video — he wanted it to be a real spectacle.
'It is probably his most expensive video yet because as well as all the rehearsals, it was a huge set with loads of extras and really extravagant costumes'.
The source revealed to the publication that the singer pushed himself to the limit in order to perform the stunts. Adding: 'It's been a real undertaking and the finished product will prove why he's one of the biggest pop stars in the world.' “
So late April - May 11 - circus stuff. Which is part time and on-and-off, I imagine. Then filming. And this was an UNDERTAKING that would have required a lot of planning.
He even arranged to have live animals, as outlined here in an article with the horse and parrot handlers:
Some take aways:
- he was supposed to the riding *the WHITE horse*. And when that didn’t work, he ensured the white horse remained in the shot.
- they only had a short time to teach him with the animals, but he listened and did exactly what they said.
- the legendary Styles charm extends to grumpy parrots named Poppleguy. “He's a little bit picky and he went straight on Harry Styles' shoulder, the sign of a good vibe," [his owner] said.”
Who can resist this man?!
But he HAS to know that he’ll get questions about the song title, since it shares a name with a song by Blondie. And he gets photographed making this video - articles about it start appearing May 12, 2022.
So what does he do next? Creates a smoke screen! Good thing two of his best friends—Ben Winston and James Corden—run a late night show known for outrageous bits with musicians. And he has a long history of doing crazy things with them, so no one will bat an eye.
He heads off to NYC for Harry’s House promo and ONO, but first — he has a DUPLICATE video to shoot.
And it’s hilarious, watching him shock and delight a quartet of Brooklyn residents and their friends:

Bottom right - MAY 17/22.
The next morning, May 18, he is on air with Howard Stern who immediately brings up Blondie (look at H’s usual TS grin!!). And watch him evade:
“You’re reading too much into it…I know you’d like me to tell you ‘you’re spot on’ but…yeah, you’re not.”
But you know who thinks Howard actually is Spot On? Harry’s Mom!!
The Late Late Daylight video airs on May 26/27, 2022 (depending on your time zone). And here is Anne’s IG story when she watches it:
And then - Harry keeps the circus video in his pocket. For FIFTEEN MONTHS. And makes and releases other videos.
There’s background speculation that the still images captured (Birdrry) might be for a Daydreaming or Grapejuice or other video, despite the bird. After all - we already have a Daylight MV!
And then, on July 18th, 2023 at his penultimate HSLOT concert in Lisbon, Harry has the bird image shown on the screen as he finishes singing Daylight.
After the concert, we learn that the video will drop in July 19th at 5pm UK, 12 pm Eastern.
And while the As It Was video promo stated: “It’s just us”, this one proclaims “It’s just a video, just for you.”
Which naturally leads us to this parallel:
And it is followed by the 10-minute 2nd encore piano ballad at the final HSLOT concert on July 22, introduced in Italian by saying “I wrote this for you, just for tonight.”
**My theory - its release is another in a long line of grand gestures designed to remind and assure Blondie of his ongoing, perpetual love and devotion.**

TODAY ON Me Never Shutting TF Up About OrangeJuiceVerse:
Let’s talk abt the Disaster Duo.
Aka Kenny McCormick and Stan Marsh. These two… smh they really are each other’s enablers (as Ky pointed out here) in all things. Naturally, I have headcanons that haven’t seen the light of day yet.
Aight so if u know the ojverse, you know that our sweet leading man Stanley Marsh absolutely thinks of Kenny as his Blood Brother In Desperation (someone get this man (me) away from FOB’s discography) and the platonic stenny bond is SO real. They’re always down to do stupid shit together and are 100% the reason Kyle has high blood pressure.
Kenny, on more than one occasion, has done some shit like gone up to Stan like “hey dude you wanna climb the water tower” and Stan didn’t even question it he was just “sure why not” when I say Marj and Kyle were sooo pissed bc Kenny fell off the ladder and knocked Stan off too on the way down lmfao these two idiots were in so much trouble for hurting themselves in a completely avoidable way.
Oh my GOD they set shit on fire all the time out here trying to start a grill because they’ve dubbed themselves the “grillmasters” and then suddenly Stan has no arm hairs. BOTH of them have threatened to drink lighter fluid at minor inconveniences.
As referenced here, Kenny, as a true weirdo artist boy (I’m projecting) once mixed acetone and resin INDOORS (he and Stan were drunk and not thinking) and the fumes were so strong that Stan deadass passed out and it was soooo stupid Kyle was so mad at them. With bigger projects throughout their ENTIRE lives if Ken is like building a big ass sculpture or sum he’s going to Stan and like Cartman will go out to the backyard of the Survivor House to see them dangling from the roof to get the top parts on and just sends a pic in the groupchat to get them in trouble smh
Oh my god I’ve mentioned that Stan had a parkour phase in middle school (referenced here) and who was with him trying to do backflips and vault over walls? Kenneth. This one time they were like “dude we should expand our gymnastics skills” “oh yeah for sure” and they started trying to do that two person cartwheel thing and they THOUGHT they got it down and went to show Kyle but they completely busted their asses like landing in a tangle of limbs and shit (Kenny died) bruh Kyle was SO fuckin mad like “THE FUCK ARE YALL DOIN THAT IN THE STREET FOR” and Stan was all “uhhh cuz it’s a flat stretch of ground? Duh” dumbasses
Canonically in the OrangeJuiceVerse these two are both school mascots (Stan only for the season Kenny played basketball, Kenny through the entirety of hs) and have stupid signature moves that they do in the “stank ass cow suit”. Like Kenny literally gets shot out of a cannon to kickoff football games and Stan does flips that are seriously not safe with the low visibility in a mascot head they actually have no sense of self preservation until someone gets hurt. Ohhh my god one time at a football game Stan was benched for whatever reason and he was BORED so he’s bothering Marj and Kenny and the other cheerleaders and he was full on “wait Ken stand on my shoulders and find Ky in the crowd” so they’re walking around the track like that (stunt buddies at their peak) and no one is watching the game they’re just distracted by whatever tf these two have going on and then the coach notices and is like “goddamnit MARSH! Get on the field!” Smh mans got unbenched for his own safety how ironic
As kids? No one went harder playing superheroes than these two. Cartman may have been the one leaning too hard into the “marketing” side of things (“fatass you can’t call yourself that! It’s a fucking slur!”) but Stan and Kenny were out here terrorizing construction sites bc there was so much cool shit to climb
Even as adults the shenanigans don’t stop dude Stan and Kyle drove over to the city to see Ken and Marj and Ky woke up in the middle of the night and Stan wasn’t there he went to get Marj “dude wake up the guys are gone” guess where the Disaster Duo was? Trying to get into a closed water park by digging under the fence. Yes they were in Trouble.
And when they’re older and Stan’s sober so you’d think he’d be slightly less inclined to do dumb shit? NOPE! He and Kenny are going WAY too hard at paintball and Stan falls off the top of an obstacle bc he was in “sniping mode” and “it’s like irl Fortnite!”
On their own? These two are fairly tame with some exceptions. Together? Someone needs an emergency room.

not to salt openly on main or anything but instead of playing up a grown adult man's ineptitude to the point where he doesn't even know how to search for the nearest children's hospital on google or recognize food in the refrigerator, they could have instead utilized the part where he tries to give miri cold medicine for adults as a visual metaphor for the fact that she has completely different needs from the two of them; it's all fine and well to be miri's video game buddy until the moment where you have to step up to be the adult in the room, which... really should have been the crux of rei's character arc imo?
rei's stunted development has always been more of an emotional issue--sure, he doesn't take care of his body all that well either, but the real impact of his upbringing is that he doesn't know how to relate to others in a more responsible manner, because he's never been put in that position before. his deal is that he "doesn't know what love is", including self-love, and love here also encompasses the capacity to care properly for others. kazuki wasn't only doing the physical housework, but also bearing the brunt of the emotional work that goes into keeping a child on-schedule and out of danger, which rei had to deal with for the first time while alone with a sick miri. instead we get about a grand total of about 2 minutes of screentime on the kind of internal turmoil this caused him ("i can't do anything...") and exactly zero minutes on the effort that he had to expend in kazuki's absence while miri needed him--all we get is the final shot of him asleep that only implies some of the work. he's not even the one who presumably takes her to hospital! what was the point of having kazuki out of the picture on his little grief journey, if not to show us the development of rei in real time?! kazuki doesn't even come home to a clean house!!!
i think my irritation with ep 7 stems mostly from the inability of the writing to address the (usually very gendered) inequality of housework and emotional load distribution within a household in any cogent or meaningful fashion, instead using it as the vehicle to explore kazuki's backstory and cut in a few comical scenes of rei in distress instead of actually taking the issue as seriously as it could have. kazuki didn't just leave the house bc he was sick of daily life, he was grieving and being devalued in his household while a 4 year-old and a 25 year-old manchild roommate were constantly testing his patience. i was really, really looking forward to some kind of significant emotional reckoning on rei's part that we got to see onscreen, one that was more consistent with his character (he was NOT this helpless before, even in ep 1 before he met miri) and that would actually mean a little more for the plot than.... honestly whatever we got in ep 7.
also, just on a personal note, as a former (and sadly ongoing) rei stan, it's not very cute to watch a grown man flounder around his own fucking house not knowing how to call a cab or fry a single egg. it's not sexy. it doesn't serve. bring back the sexy rei suwa right now or i'll storm the fucking studio with a torch.

It’s king of funny because the show basically foreshadowed how D would act with R with his marriage to Laena(but ofc the stans were happy gloating how D didn’t love Laena and hooked up with and married R because she was his soulmate🙄)Both are free spirited Valyrian/Targaryen riders who were attracted to D being all rogue prince,etc while he used and groomed both of them as teenagers which lead to later enabling his behaviour unfortunately. For over a decade Laena put up with his behaviour towards her as well as favouring one of their daughters over the other probably because initially life with him was exciting (until he became depressed)but the min she started confronting him over his BS he started getting angry and defensive and we only see him calming down when L basically tells him she misses the man she married.With R she didn’t care to learn about his life or his mental state for that matter and also wanted him to be his older self enabling his worst self both in ep.5 and 7. It’s a very fucked up situation where he groomed these girls and then later on want him to be the person he’s trying not to be? Another example of how incest and grooming screws over the Targs. If D knew how to have a healthy relationship with s non Targ that also doesn’t consist of manipulation and grooming he might have become a different person.
Yeah Daemon is protrayed as a severely emotionally damaged/ stunted man who does not know what a healthy relationship is to save his life.
Being a second son in addition to the Targs taking incest to the extreme seemed to have really screwed him up. He feels like he doesn’t really belong (he says this at least twice in the show in reference to house Targaryen, but you can tell that he really means himself) or have a place anywhere.
If he had been born a girl he would have married Viserys and that would have been that, but he wasn’t so he’s gotta forge his own path. As a result he’s obsessed with being worthy in his brothers eyes, the person he could have had in another life, but he’s stuck in this life so 🤷🏽♀️
None of Daemon’s marriages have been truly loving on the show. I don’t think any of the women he’s been with “understand him” before it’s too late. On the surface(especially to young impressionable girls like L and R) he appears to be this exciting man who is worldly, but inside he’s little “unloved” boy with emotional issues.
They got swept up in the fantasy and did not pull back the curtain to see what’s underneath which isn’t exactly pretty🫠 By the time they realize things they are pretty much stuck with him(lol unless they want to break out the divorce 🪨)
A leopard does not change its spots. People for the most part do not change no matter how much you want them to. You kinda just have to accept them as they are 🤷🏽♀️ They have to want to change for themselves.
If Daemon was not so obsessed with being a Valyrian supremacist in his youth/proving himself he would have been much better off, but there is still hope for him in the future (cough cough Nettles) that he can grow and become a healthier person

So when are holivia stans going to understand that none of the songs in Harry’s house are about Olivia? It has been confirmed that Harry has been working on this album since the beginning of 2020. He finished writing this album before he started shooting don’t worry darling and finished recording the album right before he went on tour last year. So what are they not get it? Also it’s been confirmed that a lot of the songs were written for a fine line. Which was an album that was written years before Harry met Olivia. Also the fact that the songs are written about Camille. And possibly another person. Harry could have been in a relationship with another girl before the stunt started by what we can all come to the conclusion is that none of the songs are about Olivia. also for people who think that they are in a real relationship when are you guys going to admit that Harry is a shit boyfriend? The fact that Olivia has been accused of cheating on Jason and Harry through a source called himself “blameless“, when Olivia was served custody papers he didn’t give a shit about what was happening, when Olivia and Shira situation happened she wasn’t seen anywhere near him for weeks, then his film festival completely ignored her and with the whole nanny situation hasn’t spoken up for her whatsoever. All he hast to do is come out and publicly say that none of the situation with Jason ever happened and people would believe him. But there is definitive proof via Olivia‘s Instagram Paparazzi pictures that her and Jason were still together in October 2020. Let’s not forget that to make her life easier all he would have to do was move to LA so Olivia could have custody of her children. Olivia and Jason are in the process of a custody battle and Jason wants the kids to live in the US and she wants to live in London with Harry and make a huge mess of the situation when all he hast to do is move to LA. He clearly doesn’t give a shit about her or those kids because that would make everyone’s life a little easier and Jason and Olivia could have the agreement that they still currently have. This man didn’t promote her movie whatsoever and left her hanging in the dust throughout the entire promotion of this movie. This man has no interest in her whatsoever and it’s very clear to see. She follows him around the world and bent her schedule and her life to fit his and he doesn’t do the same for her at all. This man clearly doesn’t give a fuck about this girl but nobody seems to care because you guys believe was being put in front of you. also with the proof that we have that Olivia and Jason were still together in November 2020 when are you guys going to admit that Olivia is a terrible person? Lied about Florence hooking up with Harry, started hooking up with Harry when her and Jason were still together, hooking up with Jason while her and Harry were starting a relationship, made Jason believe that they were going to get back together and was leading him on for months, leaves her kids constantly and put them on the back burner to make room for Harry and her life, lied about the Florence and Shia situation, begged us not to come back to the production know where the fourth was uncomfortable and lied about firing him to make herself look better, completely cut off the people of colour in her movie to make more room for her and her square ass fucking head and that receding hairline of hers,  and with the nanny story basically left her kids and has shown from the beginning that Harry takes priority. She has said that she took this year off to spend more time with her kids but she has been seen with Harry and travelling to him more that she has her own children. So if this relationship is real that means Olivia Wilde and Harry styles are both terrible people. He has had so many opportunities to defend her, so many opportunities to claim her and he hasn’t done so once. The relationship is fake He doesn’t care about her. So try to defend anything I just said. Please do try I want to laugh today.

Fairy Tale June:The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm
So today we are actually going with a big movie ,a George Pal extraviganza
In this 1962 film we follow Willhem Grimm (Laurance Harvey), a fanciful dreamer,and Jacob Grimm (Karl Bohem ) a down to earth scholar ,as the pair is supposed to write down the family history of a Duke (Oscar Homolka) ,Willhelm gest distracted by fairy tales ,which he realizes no one has written down .....Thats the main story,what makes the film unique....is it also adapts three classic Grimms fairy tales :The dancing Princess follows a woodcutter (Russ Tamblyn) who uses an invisible cloak to discoverthe mystery to why a princess(Yvette Mimeux) always has destroyed shoes ,the Elves and the Shoemakers follows a old cobbler (Also played by Harvey ) who gains the help of some elves (voiced by Stan Freberg,Dallas Mikkinion and Thurl Ravinscroft ) and the Sining Bone where the cowardly and egotistical Sir Ludwig (Terry-Thomas ) tries to take credit for slaying a dragon that was actually slain by his servent Hans (Buddy Hackett )
SO this film is done by George PAl,producer of many Sci Fi and fantasy films ,probabbly best known for his HG Welles adaptations ,War of the Worlds and the Time Machine.In fact I kind of see this film as a spirtual follow up to his musical version of Tom Thumb ,which also had Russ Tmablyn and Terry-Thomas (In fact as well as playing the Woodsman,Tamblyn also plays Tom Thumb in a climatic sequence I will get to later ),and I think oversall,while I enjoy parts of Tom Thumb.....This film is better.HOWEVER it is still uneven to the point I didnt know if I liked or disliked it tillI was near the end,and even then.....I had to think about it
The movie is kind of two movies ,it is a bio pic about the Grimm Brothers AND a anthology of fairy tale ,and at first.....I was kind of wishing it was just the fairy tales ,and even then they arent immune to the big problem of the movie.....IT drags ,the pscing is very slow,I guess to make it 2 hours
We are gonna go by segments :
The main Grimm Brothers story on its own is dull ,it didnt feel substantial to me at first ,just Willhelm messing up and setting up the fact they will eventually write down the fairy tales ....HOwever what made it work was the performances ,LAurance Harvey was really lovable as the dreamer Willhelm,Karl Boehm is believable as the serious Jacob,and Oskar HOmolka is scene chewingly fun as the unpleasent Duke,with other good performances coming from MArtita Hunt ,Barbra Eden,Claire Bloom and Walter Slezak ....What also works is the ending which I will go into later
The Danicng Princess is fun ,showing some great physicality by Russ Tamblyn in both stunts and dancing.Now in the fairy tale its 12 Princesses but for this segment it makes sense to streamline it to one.The Highlight of this one is Jim Bakus as the murderous yet jovial King (Aided by him doing the Mr Magoo voice)
The Elves and the Shoemaker was my least favorite part of the film ,Harvey is good,but the segment was a lil dull and I willl be frank ,while I love stop motion and shall praise some later ....THE ELVES ARE FREAKY AND CREEPED ME OUT (However did notice one of them was the Yawning Man from Tom Thumb that was cute )
The Singing Bone is both the darkest and funniest tale and by far my favorite part of the film .Terry-Thomas was a comedic genius and here is perfectly cast as a villainous knight who lets his servent do all the heavy lifting .Buddy Hackett is also very fun as the unlikely hero ,I never knewI wanted to see Scuttle fight a dragon but I am glad it exists .The best part of the d scene IS the dragon,brought to life through some brillaint cartoony stop mostion,this beastie has a ton of personality,being very bored and hungry,focused on killling the two main characters ,and I love the design which is a mixture of eastern and western dragons with jewl encrusted scales
But the scene that sold me on the movie and why I reccomend the movie is Willhelms dream:Spoilers Willhelm gets very sick and in a fever dream sees Snow White and the seven dwarfs,a Giant,the Frog Prince,Tom Thumb, Rumplestiltskin,and other fairy tale characters ,who convince him to not only lived but write down their stories .Its a very sweet and emotional scene ,and I particularly like comedian Arnonald Stangs take on Rumplestiltskin as a bad tempered mean guy (I kind of wish he got his own segment ).
For all the flaws of the movie,I did enjoy it ,and if you can find it,I reccomend giving it a watch

Butch: "None of this is right. Mike deserves a funeral. Not this sham. People mourning his do-gooder brother who never had a moment for him. Tell me, Nelson...Mike was pretending to be Matt as a favor. 'Cause the Golden Boy was in rehab out of town. So why isn't he here now? And why can't my men find him? This whole thing stinks. I'll keep this quiet, 'cause if Matt Murdock set Mike up, I'm going to find him...and what my father did to Mike is going to look like a scraped knee compared to what I'm going to do to him."
Devil’s Reign: Omega, “Fall and Rise” by Chip Zdarsky, Rafael de LaTorre, Federico Blee, and Clayton Cowles
Butch, like almost everyone and everything associated with Mike in this run so far, has suffered from a shortage of narrative attention and development, so I wasn't hugely compelled by him as a character before...but man, this scene made me love him. As with Matt, we have had to wait for Mike to die to get a full sense of how the people around him feel about him-- and the answer is that apparently, both Matt and Butch are willing to kill for him. It's heartwarming!
But speaking of Matt...
Matthew Michael "When-In-Doubt-Fake-Your-Death" Murdock has a long, infamous history of pulling this type of stunt. In fact, his very first faked death was that of his dear made-up twin brother, back in Daredevil volume 1 #41. Over the decades, this has become a reliable last-ditch solution/escape hatch for Matt when he is backed into a corner or feels unable to cope with whatever giant mess is currently being made of his life. However, this newest variation on the theme is the most ghoulish yet. Using his murdered twin's corpse as a body-double and co-opting Mike's funeral as his own is crossing some disturbing new lines for Matt, and this issue is equipped with characters who are willing to point that out.
Matt: "Matt Murdock is dead. It's better this way. For what we have to do."
Luke: "And what exactly is that? Your brother is dead, man. It isn't fair to his friends to not get the chance to mourn him."
Matt: "My brother...didn't have friends. He had people he owed money to. I'll mourn him. I'll avenge him one day, even. But for now, we're...Elektra and I..."
Elektra: "We're going to destroy the Hand."
Devil’s Reign: Omega, “Fall and Rise” by Chip Zdarsky, Rafael de LaTorre, Federico Blee, and Clayton Cowles
Hey, check this out! Obviously, the circumstances are different, but I wouldn't be me if I wasn't pointing out Mike Murdock Saga parallels:
Foggy: "Matt! He was your own brother! He died defending us! Have you nothing to say? Can't you even put down that blasted braille law book for a minute?"
Matt: "Sorry, Foggy! It's too late for tears...and we still have work to do!"
Karen: "Matt, I never thought you could be...so cold-blooded!"
Matt (thinking): "If they ever suspected that they're mourning for someone who never even existed--!"
Daredevil vol. 1 #42 by Stan Lee, Gene Colan, Dan Adkins, and Sam Rosen
This man has always been fundamentally incapable of even pretending to care about Mike, and I think that's beautiful.
Of course, in this new reality in which Mike did exist, Matt's cold indifference would be infuriating and, frankly, horrifying...had the previous issue not revolved around him going ballistic with grief over losing his brother. With that vital context, it is clear that we can't take Matt's comments in this issue at face value, and that he is most likely deflecting in the above scene. Even the other dialogue in this issue itself demonstrates that he isn't being honest ("Matt told me [Butch] and Mike were childhood friends"; owing money aside, Matt knows that his brother did have at least one friend). While it is not necessary for writers to spell everything out when it comes to character motivations, I do appreciate the effort that was taken in this issue, given the lack of prior development of Matt and Mike's relationship, to clarify what is going on with Matt here.
Luke: "...We're just worried. You lost your brother. Escaping into 'Daredevil' isn't the way to deal with that."

Historically, Matt has exhibited two major reactions to tremendous pain, loss, and hardship: stubborn, impulsive, single-minded action, and extreme avoidance. We saw the former in Devil's Reign #6 when he tried to murder the Kingpin. Now we are seeing the latter: "I'm completely fine, don't worry about me. Also, I'm leaving. Bye." Back when Matt was in prison, earlier in the run, Elektra offered him the chance to go punch ninjas a very long way away from New York, and he rejected it. But now, suddenly, he loves that idea! It's important, it's necessary-- for the safety of the world, of course-- for him to run off right now and fling himself into a dangerous, all-consuming battle with the Hand. And he will deal with the Mike stuff-- "mourn him. Avenge him one day, even"-- later.
In other words, it seems as though Matt is shoving his emotions way down and using Daredevil for one of that identity's most important purposes: escapism. This is him buying a one-way train ticket north in Nocenti's run, hopping on a bus to New Mexico after "Shadowland". Matt has just lost one of the few family members he had left, a family member who essentially died in his stead, with whom he-- as Butch mentions, and as I've bemoaned in the past-- never actually took the time to reconcile, and he is running away from having to cope with that. And it is very single-minded escapism, not fully taking into account the people around him, which is typical Matt behavior in these kinds of situations. Foggy, Elektra, Luke, Danny, and others know what's really going on, but notably, Kirsten does not. In a classic Matt Murdock move, he has decided he would rather let her think he is dead than tell her the truth about his being Daredevil and her memories having been altered...which is another emotional minefield that he is avoiding by leaving town.
The new #1 comes out in July, kicking off this creative team's second volume (Daredevil volume 7) and sending Matt and Elektra off to their confrontation with the Hand. It will be interesting to see how (or if) the effects of grief impact this new story arc-- not just for Matt, but also for Butch, Kirsten, and maybe even Foggy, who was the reason Mike was pretending to be Matt in the first place. One key way this could possibly carry over is if Matt toys with the idea of using Hand/Chaste techniques to bring Mike back to life...unaware that Kirsten may have already beaten him to it...

First review: aw shit you know it's gonna be a webtoon--- my review for the first 3 seasons of Let's Play
spoilers beware
Okay what drew me in to read this was the alleged controversy around it. I don't remember EXACTLY what was said about it but I remember hearing people be like "eugh" about it. So naturally when I had the time, I wanted to see for myself.
While I did enjoy reading the webtoon, I can definitely see where people get the ire from. The fmc is so stupidly sheltered, it's almost frustrating at times. Seriously, in the age of the internet and online gaming how can you, a 22 year old, not know what flavored condoms are used for?
Sam (the fmc) has been sheltered by her family and friends (mainly her father) due to her childhood illnesses and general issues with anxiety/confrontation. While they mean well, it's stunted her growth as an adult woman. Her biggest thing imo is her wrestling with her own self confidence, she says a few times when people ask about her wardrobe, that she feels like "a kid playing dress up" which again, is due to her being sheltered and not given enough space to spread her wings.
The plot is interesting to me! It's new enough to capture my attention but with familiar tropes that I'm like "oho, right up my alley indeed"
Speaking of characters, I STAN MONICA. I love how Monica is written to be sexy and confident, but she doesn't tear down other women to build herself up. It can be SO easy for writers to make characters like Monica into being the one dimensional mean girl antagonist. But Monica only ever uplifts Sam, giving her fashion and relationship advice and is never jealous of Marshall's friendship with her. She's only upset with Marshall when he basically pushes himself overboard trying to play Sam's game that he ended up in the hospital, which again she never blames Sam for it. We love women characters supporting each other.
On the opposite end, is Marshall's older sister Eva. When Marshall is in the hospital, she meets Monica for the first time and is immediately judgemental and catty towards her. Your brother's heart stopped beating and you're gonna be an ass to his girlfriend, um okay then. Also Eva has major daddy issues, which became GLARINGLY obvious when her dad first made an appearance in the webtoon. The man looks like Charles, same eye color and hair style (but the dad's is slightly longer and gray) which makes me think that's why she went after Charles (this has yet to be verified in the webtoon but come on, I have eyes and reading comprehension skills). As of right now I don't like Eva. Nope. Everyone was like "waa waa Charles is a manipulator waa waa" bitch she's literally manipulating Marshall into doing something for their abusive dad.
SPEAKING OF CHARLES.....
I don't care what the haters say, I love this character. I know that Sam will more than likely end up with Marshall but shhhh lemme enjoy Sam/Charles while they're canon. I can't help it y'all, I love a slightly toxic fictional man. (who am I kidding I love all levels of toxic fictional men). They way that chains have been used as a visual for him, makes me think that he will be possessive of Sam at some point and ough I can't wait for the d r a m a. Also Charles checking Sam's phone in the middle of the night and Sam catching him? 👀 I do like how Charles never coddles Sam and actually treats her like an adult. He pushes her outside of her comfort zone (dressing more professional, meeting with clients face to face, the self love exercise he makes her do every morning at work) but also recognizes when she's extremely uncomfortable doing something and doesn't force her to do it (making her propose the project to the game developer company herself, Charles could see that she wasn't there yet so he wasn't going to make her).
Tbh I don't have much to say about Sam/Marshall. They've made each other blush a few times but it wasn't really a romantic type of way?? Just them being awkward nerds to each other + Sam being sheltered. They're still very much in friend territory right now but with the way things left off at the end of season 3 (Marshall is single now, and Sam caught Charles looking at her phone) its only a matter of time before Sam/Marshall becomes the current ship. I DO like him as a character though, don't get me wrong but we'll see how the author goes about a Sam and Marshall romantic relationship.
ALSO...
I read a few reviews where people criticize the Sam/Charles paring because of his age (what is his age???? they never specified in the comic. just that he's old enough to have been married and divorced lmao) and the dynamic that comes with it? While Sam is still very inexperienced with navigating romantic relationships (both physical and emotional aspects), Charles has told her to be the one to initiate being physical so that she can go at her own pace with him. He doesn't want a boyfriend/girlfriend thing (pffff we've seen how that's been working out for him, Sam is literally melting his heart) and has communicated that clear to her from the beginning. I am curious though.....would not a Sam and Marshall romance also have a somewhat unequal power dynamic going on? Marshall might be much closer to her age, but he's a celebrity, she's not. That's a power dynamic imbalance if ever I've seen one lmao.
One thing that really annoys me, and I'm greatly annoyed anytime I see it in any other media...
When we learn that Sam's friend Angela was assaulted, the writer has Angela say how "broken" she feels. This is a pet peeve of mine, and I'm aware that not everyone feels this way and that everyone is entitled to describing their feelings however they want, but for me....I absolutely hate that. Maybe it's my evangelical upbringing but when I'm reading a fic/book/webtoon/whatever, and the writer uses the word broken to describe how a character feels (*especially* when the character has been assaulted) it just gives me MAJOR ick. I'm used to hearing broken in terms of people in a church setting, ex. "you're broken and god fixes broken people." Friends, I don't know how to explain it other than I just do not like it at all. anytime I read/listen to the word broken in reference to a human person, my mind deducts points from the media.
Another thing I must deduct points on is that literally every character (minus 2 people) have the exact same body type. We have 1 plus size male character that is a coworker, and 1 thin female coworker. there isn't much diversity in the recurring characters' bodies, I kid you not 99% of the female characters (except this one coworker) are hour glass bombshells, and 99% of the male characters (except the other coworker) are chiseled with well defined muscles. yes I know what fanservice is but come ON.
anyway overall I did enjoy the webtoon. it has its flaws that I take beef with, but I was entertained nonetheless

Donald J Trump (Sebastian Stan) may be one of the most recognisable, imitated and reviled figures globally – yet, in some quarters, he is sadly revered.
There is an enigma at the heart of the man who is America’s former, and possibly future, president. How did we allow him to happen? How do so many people buy into the spiel of a person who is such a proudly ignorant huckster? Iranian-Danish filmmaker Ali Abbasi attempts to explore this enigma in The Apprentice. Those with knowledge of Trump’s history may have a two-word answer: Roy Cohn. For those unaware, Cohn (Jeremy Strong) is one of the most important, and malignly corrupt, figures in modern American political history. And not just because he made Donald J Trump.
A lawyer who cut his teeth leading senator Joe McCarthy’s “red scare” witchunts, Cohn went on to become the attorney of choice for New York’s mafiosos, a mentor to some of Richard Nixon’s most poisonous acolytes, and the man who showed Trump the legal ropes of grimy 1970s Manhattan.
In Ali Abbasi’s film, we first meet Trump as a brash but socially stunted heir to his father’s (Martin Donovan) property empire. Determined to be the apple of his cruel father’s eye, he looks to make a name for himself with real estate deals. In that pursuit, he seeks out Cohn – the man who knows every New Yorker you want to know.
Strong is predictably superb as the influential lawyer, conveying the tough-guy facade that masks the vulnerabilities of a man whose history and struggle with his homosexuality have been memorably portrayed in Angels in America. It’s Stan’s performance, though, that deserves the most praise, as his portrayal of Trump transcends the typical impressions we see endlessly. He starts by playing Trump as a trust fund kid overshadowed by his father, quite different from the figure we know and loathe. Yet, as the film progresses, he becomes The Donald – bloated and so unaware of his own ludicrousness that everyone, including wife Ivana (Borat 2’s Maria Bakalova), is drawn in by the gravitational pull of his ego.
However, despite its strong performances and a cleverly observed script, the film ultimately leaves Abbasi no closer to unraveling the enigma. As the story progresses and Stan’s portrayal becomes increasingly Trump-like, it feels like the story begins to buy into his self-mythology rather than puncture and interrogate it.
As a result, The Apprentice is ultimately unsatisfying. But one is not sure how much that is a product of the frightening world that continues to indulge the Trump circus rather than a failure on the part of Abbasi.
The Apprentice does not have a UK release date yet.

“Cut.” Stephen called out, leaping excitedly from his directors chair, “That was marvelous. I think that about does it for the day. See you all tomorrow, bright and early.”
A man appeared before you, offering you a hand as you slipped down off the gorgeous white horse. “Thank you.” You mumbled, lifting a hand to give the stallion a gentle scratch before someone took a hold of his reins, guiding him off set and back to the stable they were being looked after in.
You breathed out a sigh of relief, rolling your shoulders back a few times before cracking your neck from side to side. It was moments like these, when the consistent ache residing in your muscles increased with every minor movement, that you regretted doing your own stunts.
“Y/N.” Stephen called as you shuffled off in the direction of your trailer, desperate to get out of the tight leather pants that made up your costume. “Can I speak with you for a moment?”
Henry, who you hadn’t even noticed was trailing off after you, gave your shoulder a subtle squeeze and an encouraging wiggle of his brows as he passed.
You huffed softly, scrunching your nose distastefully at him before spinning back around, a bright smile plastered on as the older man approached you with an obvious pep in his step.
You would never understand how he had such energy after a long, fourteen hour day of shooting.
“What’s up?” You asked softly, wringing your hands together in front of you. He didn’t look displeased or upset, which gave you the slightest bit of relief. “Everything okay?”
Stephan waved his hand dismissively, a playful smirk tugging at the corner of his lips, “Of course. Of course, everything is fantastic.” He threw an arm over your shoulder, guiding in the direction you were previously heading in. “I’ll walk you to your trailer. I just wanted to check in with you, I know how hard you’re working to wrap this up before your next role.”
“Oh.” Your entire body sagged in relief against his, a soft breath spilling from your parted lip. You weren’t in trouble then, nothing to fret over.
“You’re doing so well. I know you’re tired and absolutely drained but yet you still come in everyday ready to kick ass and give it your all.” He gave your shoulder a subtle squeeze and a brilliant grin before retracting his arm, “I guess I just wanted to make sure that you’re doing okay. I don’t want you to burn yourself out or overdue it. I know we are on a bit of a schedule but if you need a day or two, we can make it work.”
“Oh. I’m okay.” You shrugged half heartedly, bottom lip rolled between your teeth, “I don’t want to throw everything off. I can push through.”
Stephan raised a white brow, lips pursed and dark hues narrowed skeptically.
“I’m serious.” You chuckled, rolling your eyes playfully. “You know what they say… I’ll sleep when I’m dead.”
He hummed non committedly, eyes tracing over your face, assessing you carefully, “I don’t know. Don’t take this the wrong way, I don’t mean offense…” He inhaled sharply, “But, hun you look exhausted. The wife would have my head if she saw you right now. You know how much we love and care about you. I may be your boss but I’m also your friend, and this is me coming to you as a friend.” He shook his head, a frown tugging at the corner of his lips, “It might not be affecting your performance but you're like the walking dead when the cameras are off you.”
He wasn’t necessarily wrong…
You couldn’t even count on one hand how many times you’d fallen asleep between scenes, passed out on your chair with Henry’s jacket tossed over your head. Or how much extra concealer Blake was using just to hide the dark bags that had made home under your eyes. Or the amount of coffee you were downing just to stay upright.
You were drained—exhausted beyond belief. You couldn’t even think straight outside of saying the right lines and perfecting the scene. Whatever little energy you had left, went solely into your work.
“If it were up to me, I’d make you take a week,” He sighed, the tight lipped smile split across his lips, “But I know you’re stubborn so at least settle with me for a day or two.”
“She’ll take two.” A familiar voice interjected.
You spun around, ready to argue and rain hell on whoever decided it was at all okay to make decisions for you but it snapped shut when you laid eyes on a stern Blake and your very concerned looking assistant, Casey, strolling quickly over to you.
“Don’t even try to argue it, babe.” Blake snapped, giving you a pointed glare, “You’re dead on your feet and need to sleep for at least a full twenty four hours. Not to mention, you seem to have forgotten you have an entire life outside of work and people who are worried about you.”
You curled into yourself, eyes flickering shamefully to the floor as a bright blush rose to the apples of your cheeks.
So you may have forgotten about the outside world, what’s the big deal?
It would still be there when filming was over anyways.
A break from the real world was nice, perhaps it was even needed. You couldn’t even remember the last time you checked social media, let alone your emails or texts.
“Well, that’s settled then.” Stephan spoke up, tone final as he clasped his hands together. “I’ll see you Thursday. Take care of yourself, Y/N/N. I mean it.”
With that he turned on his heels and trekked off towards his own trailer. No doubt he had picked up on the quickly rising tension and figured you all needed some space.
“Seriously guys?” You grumbled, crossing your arms over your chest as Blake tossed an arm over your shoulder and Casey looped hers through your elbow on the opposite side. “I’m fine.”
“You aren’t fine.” Casey sighed, giving your bicep a little squeeze, “You aren’t taking care of yourself at all and you are completely ignoring everything else in your life. Your phone has been blowing up for a couple weeks now. Sebastian has become desperate to get ahold of you. Elaine, Ella, Macy, Georgeta, Eli, and even Anthony have all tried to text and call.”
“I texted Sebastian two nights ago.” You scoffed, eyes trained on your feet dragging lazily across the gravel.
“All you said was ‘hi’ after his previous seventeen messages and twelve missed phone calls, Y/N!”
“Geez,” You groaned, rolling your eyes, “That’s a very specific number. How did you even know that?”
“Because Sebastian told me.” Blake grit out, an expression of pure exasperation worn across his face. “You’re lucky I love you. I talked to him—calmed him down. I told him not to take it personally, that you were just getting in your ways and wearing yourself out.”
“Why does it matter?” You huffed, shaking your head, “He can go days without contacting me but if I do it to him it’s the end of the world?”
“Are you serious right now?” Blake laughed dryly, “You haven’t had a legit conversation with him for over two weeks. You literally know nothing about what’s going on with him because you’ve placed yourself in this protective little bubble-”
“I have not.” You interjected, voice louder and stronger than you intended it to be.
“You have!” He hissed, dragging you to a complete stop before forcing you to face him. “This is me calling you out on your shit because I love you and you’re kind of being a fucking bitch, dude. I understand you’re going through it right now—what with your dad's fucked up shit, all of this PR bullshit straining your relationship with Sebastian, and working nonstop before this really, really big role for you…but this ends here and now.” He grasped both your shoulders, head dipping down to look you directly in the eye, “You cannot push everyone away when things get hard. You cannot seclude yourself and drown yourself in work because you’re scared and you’re hurting. This isn’t healthy and you’re going to lose some really fucking amazing people in your life if you continue down this path—including a man who worships the ground you walk on and loves you for everything that you are… the bad and ugly parts included.” His face softened, hand lifting to brush along your flushed cheek to wipe away the shameful tears that had begun to roll down your cheeks. “Get your shit together, baby girl. I mean it.”
You choked out a sob, shoulders trembling and chest heaving as you fell into his awaiting arms. “I…I’m so—sorry.”
Everything you'd been holding back for so long—stuffing it down and sweeping it under the rug had come barreling to the surface in full force.
You should’ve known better, it hadn’t worked in the past. It always, always turned around to bite you in the ass and leave you feeling completely and utterly defeated.
You weren’t punishing Sebastian, that you were sure of, you were distancing yourself—from him, from your friends, from the outside world.
From everything.
A part of you—a very deep and ugly part of you, was giving him an out. It was something you would never admit, not to yourself, not to anyone, but you were waiting for him to inevitably give up on you. To see if, in your distance, he would turn to another, more specifically Catalina. You were creating a barrier, building up a wall between you because in the weakest part of your mind—the part that no amount of affirmation or self love would ever be able to heal, automatically assumed and braced for when he would leave you, inadvertently taking your entire heart with him.
It was toxic behavior, you knew that. You’d spoken with your therapist and even Sebastian enough to know that most of the time your worries and thoughts were outrageously irrational.
Usually it wasn’t this bad. You’d never pushed everyone, specifically your lover this far away and for this length of time.
But you just couldn’t seem to shake it off. Couldn’t seem to think rationally.
Maybe it was the stress. Maybe it was the lack of sleep. Or perhaps a combination of both because of how overwhelmed you were.
The only steadily positive thing in your life right now was work. So it made complete sense as to why you fell back on it and pushed everything else in your life aside for it.
“It’s alright.” Blake shushed you, combing through the ends of your hair, pressing soft kisses to your head as Casey’s hand rubbed reassuringly along your back. “We just all love you so much and just want to make sure you’re okay.”
You nodded against his chest, the soft cotten on his t-shirt was drenched by the tears that seemed to never end. Your body felt weak and you could feel a migraine blooming behind your burning eyes.
“Let’s get you out of costume and then I’ll take you home, okay?” He whispered, one hand sliding up to cup your cheek as he stepped half a step away to examine your face. “I don’t want you to feel worse but you do need to talk to Sebastian. Elaine called Ella and apparently the dude is having a really rough time. I guess Eli had to fly to Atlanta because he locked himself inside his room and completely shut down.”
Your heart clenched painfully in your chest, guilt and shame rising tenfold within you. If Eli, one of Sebastian’s best friends, who also stepped up to be his PA from time to time, was called for the sole purpose of that, it wasn’t good. It was an even worse sign that his manager had called yours, it meant Sebastian desperately needed you right now.
You had never felt more selfish in your entire life. He needed you and your head was so far up your own ass, you hadn’t even thought of or realized how bad it might be for him.

You frantically paced the floor, phone pressed to your ear as you listened to Sebastian’s voicemail for what felt like the hundredth time.
You’d been trying to get a hold of him for the last hour and half but every time you called, it went straight to voicemail, meaning either his phone was off or on ‘do not disturb’ mode. You’d left him at least three voicemails, one of which you cried pathetically through.
It hadn’t taken long for Blake to help you out of costume and before you knew it you were home, freshly showered, and in your favorite sweats, trying desperately to reach your lover.
You slumped defeatedly down on the couch, eyeing the takeout lying on the coffee table before you. Chinese was your favorite, especially when it came from the family owned shop that was just up the street, but you just couldn’t bring yourself to eat it, your appetite had dwindled steadily with each denied call.
You supposed you deserved it.
It was only fair after basically ignoring him for the past couple of weeks. You would ignore you too, if you were in his shoes.
You’d never hated yourself more than you did right now but you didn’t deserve to wallow over and drown in your own self pity. You’d done it to yourself and if Sebastian wanted space from you or even worse, wanted to end things with you, you wouldn’t blame him.
If your most recent actions were any indication, you were the worst girlfriend on the entire planet and he deserved far better.
You were so lost in your thoughts you nearly fell off the couch when your phone and laptop started ringing loudly from where they lay on the coffee table.
Your heart felt like it was going to beat right out of your chest as you leaned forward, tilting your laptop screen towards you with trembling hands. You could feel your cheeks heating up and palms begin to sweat, the air completely leaving your lungs when you caught sight of who was facetiming you.

And you completely broke, shattered into shambles right before his eyes.
“I—I’m so sorry.” You cried out, dropping your face in your hands, shoulders shaking with the strain to keep your sobs quiet. “I’m so fucking sorry. I don’t know what I’m doing or what’s wrong with me. I didn’t mean to take it out on you and ignore you. I’m so fucking selfi-”
“Baby. No.” He interrupted, tears pooling in his steel blue eyes. Nothing hurt him more than to see you upset, even more so when you blamed and took it out on yourself. “It’s okay, sweetheart. We’re okay. You are not selfish-”
“It’s not okay.” You croaked out, rubbing harshly over your bloodshot eyes. “It’s not okay. You needed me and I wasn’t here like I promised I would be. I heard what’s going on and I’m so, so fucking sorry. I should’ve been there… I should be there.”
“Hey, hey.” He cooed, hands pressed to the screen and his pretty, teary eyed face positioned close up to the camera. “It’s okay. I love you, okay? Nothing is going to change that. I honestly deserved to be ignored for what I’ve put you through the last couple of months.” He glanced away, expression solemn as his own tears rolled freely down his cheeks. “I’m sorry too. I should be there with and for you, I know you’re going through a hard time too and you're overworking yourself from what I’ve heard.”
“You don’t deserve to be ignored. You haven’t done anything wrong. I’m just,” You bit your lip to suppress a sob, eyes flickering away from the screen, “I’m just fucked up and I got in my head.”
“You’re not fucked up, baby.” He whispered, voice cracking slightly, “You’re not fucked up. If you’re fucked up then I’m really fucking fucked up. And I do deserve it because I should’ve been trying harder from the beginning and reaching out more. I let myself get too caught up in things and work and I’m so sorry.”
“I’m sorry.” You whimpered, scrubbing a hand down your flushed, wet face, “I’m so fucking sorry.”
“It’s alright. We’re okay, now. We’re gonna talk about it, figure it out, and move on.” He voiced confidently, combing a hand through his tousled hair. “This won’t happen again, okay? We’re gonna do better because I literally cannot function without you and I will fall apart if I lose you for good.”
“I'm not going to leave you, Sebastian.” You breathed out, wiping the remainder of your tears away with the end of your shirt. “I was terrified you were going to leave me. I was being irrational and got too far in my head.”
“Y/N , I love you.” He croaked out, tilting his head to the side as he gazed directly into the camera, the love and adoration clear as day in those cerulean eyes. “I mean it, with everything in me, when I say that you are it for me. No one, and I mean, no one will ever compare to you or change my mind.”
Sebastian was always good at reassuring you. He always seemed to know exactly what you needed to hear and when you needed to hear it. Affirmation might not be his love language, but it was yours, and he wasn’t at all afraid or ashamed to give you what you needed. That’s exactly what set him apart from the rest and made you fall head over heels in love with him to begin with.
Even after all this time together, he made sure to love on you just as he had, if not more, from the very beginning.
“I love you so much.” You sniffled, rubbing at your nose as you lifted your feet up on the couch, tucking them under you before clutching a throw pillow to your chest. “I’m sorry I’m such a mess.”
“Stop apologizing, Iubirea mea.” He whispered, sporting the smallest of smiles, “And if you think you’re a mess we’ll then you’re my mess.”
You laughed softly, burying your face into the pillow to hide the blush that had risen to the apples of your cheeks, your bun flopping unceremoniously in every which direction.
“Besides I think we’re both really going through it right now.” Sebastian added, a frown pulling at the corners of his plump lips. “This is exactly why we should never ever be apart.”
“I miss you.” You mumbled, chin resting on the pillow, lips pressed into a small pout as you gazed into the camera.
It didn’t matter that you looked like an absolute train wreck, you were beginning to feel at peace for the first time in weeks and you briefly questioned why the fuck you thought it was at all a good idea to ignore the man in front of you when talking to him and seeing him brought you so much joy and happiness.
“I can’t even begin to describe how much I fucking miss you, pretty girl.” He shifted back in his chair and it was only now that you realized he was in the kitchen of his rented apartment. “I have this raw ache,” He slapped a hand to his chest, resting over his heart, “In my chest that only goes away when I see your gorgeous face or hear your voice. I can’t imagine how much better I would feel if you were actually here with me right now.”
You nodded softly, afraid that if you spoke you might just start crying all over again.
“I think it’s hard because I don’t know exactly when I’ll see you again.” He shook his head, scrubbing a hand down his face as he tossed his head back towards the sky, “I know we’ll both be off for Christmas but who knows what my team will cook up by then and I don’t know if I can physically wait until then.”
You sighed solemnly, bottom lip worried between your teeth, “Me neither.”
Sebastian was quiet for a moment, unfocused, cerulean hues gazing across the room as he ran his fingers over the scruff lining his jaw, “I don’t know how much longer I can handle this.”
You shifted in your seat, bringing your knees up to your chest in preparation to give him your full and undivided attention and provide a listening ear. It was obvious something was eating at him, weighing heavy on his chest, and you wanted nothing more than to provide any semblance of comfort you could, given the distance between you.
“Are you okay?” You wondered, getting the ball rolling on this discussion.
From what you gathered from all your missed messages and voicemails, things weren’t going well between Sebastian and Catalina. He was trying desperately to focus on work but she just wouldn’t leave him alone. She was staying in an apartment across from his and if she caught him coming or going, she would invite herself along or into his own apartment instead.
Ever the sweetheart, Sebastian couldn’t bring himself to be stern with her nor would he ever call her out. And instead of addressing the problem at hand, he decided to lock himself inside in attempts to avoid her.
But Catalina didn’t take lightly to being ignored and threw a hissy fit. Because she couldn’t reach him, she made it everyone else’s problem and rained hell on his team. It has gotten so bad that he was having back to back panic attacks a few days ago, hence why Eli was called in to console and comfort him.
Even after it all, she still wouldn’t leave him alone and Sebastian had absolutely no choice but to suck it up and do as she asked. It didn’t matter if he was getting off a thirteen hour day and wanted nothing more than to sleep it off, if she wanted to go have dinner, he was forced to go to dinner. If she wanted to go to set, despite the covid regulations and Disney’s policies on guests, he had no other option than to bring her on set, where she would pester and whine to him all day between takes.
It was too much and clearly Sebastian was hanging on by a thin thread. Even looking at him now, you could see the physical toll she was having on him. If the heavy, dark bags under his eyes weren’t enough of an indication, the permanent slump in his shoulders and the depth in his frown lines would’ve tipped you off.
It broke your heart to see him like this. But it pissed you off more to know that Catalina, who saw him with her own two eyes everyday and witnessed the change in his appearance first hand over the last couple of months, didn’t seem to give a flying fuck. It baffled you that she could treat someone as kind, patient, and sweet as Sebastian like this. That to her, any and all attention, was more important than someone’s mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
You hadn’t touched social media in weeks but from what Blake had mentioned on your drive home, Catalina hadn’t let up on her baiting in the slightest, increasing it drastically in her desperation to get his attention. She couldn’t stand the idea of the attention being solely on Sebastian as he worked to film a special show for one of his most loved and supported roles.
Article after article was being written and printed in Spain about Catalina and her new superstar bae. No doubt paid for by her rich mother.
Sebastian was receiving so much backlash over it, to the point that Ella had even hinted that Marvel had decided to step in and Catalina was no longer allowed to associate herself with that side of his work.
Which you’d decided was a blessing in disguise and no doubt something Sebastian appreciated.
“I’m hanging in there.” Sebastian spoke up, drawing you from your thoughts. He nodded softly, giving a halfhearted shrug of his shoulders, “Just trying to get by.”
Your frown deepened, brows furrowing further as you watched him fiddle with the string on his hoodie, refusing to meet your gaze.
“Is there anything you can do to get out of it?” You offered quietly, hesitantly.
You’d never suggested trying to break the contract out loud before, wouldn’t have encouraged it previously but seeing him like this, hearing about what he’d gone through, and how much of a toll it was taking on your relationship, really made you wonder how much more you both could take of this.
Only two months in and this is what it had come to? You couldn’t even imagine what the next sixteen months would look like. You didn’t even want to.
Sebastian finally lifted his gaze, bottom lip worried between his teeth and his eyebrows drawn together in thought.
“I haven’t really tried.”
“Maybe you should.” You said softly, shrugging your shoulders. “What’s the worst that could happen? You get told no?”
“Well,” He groaned, scrubbing a hand frustratingly down his face, “If Catalina finds out, she might just make my life a living hell but she already has so…”
“Don’t worry about it right now.” You added with a small smile, “Worry about taking care of you and work. Don’t put too much on your plate right now, I don’t want you to stress yourself out.”
“You should take your own advice, baby.” He smirked, running his hand through his tousled hair, “I’ll give it some thought though. I think I’ll be okay. As long as we’re good and you’re here with me, I’ll be fine.”
“I’m here with you, my love.” You breathed out, “We’ll be better from here on out. Set certain times each day to FaceTime or call, okay? Just like you said, this will not happen again.”
“Damn straight.” He declared, scrunching his nose at you as he slapped his hand down on the table, “Cause you’re my girl and I miss you too much.”
“I miss you more.”
You stayed up way later than you should’ve talking things out with him, the conversation eventually turning lighter and more playful after throwing everything weighing on you out in the open, but you weren't too worried about it now that you had two full days to catch up on sleep.
You went to bed feeling a whole lot lighter and your laptop, projecting Sebastian’s gorgeous face, propped up in the space beside you, where he would normally sleep.
And for the first time in what felt like forever, you slept almost as soundly you would if he were really there beside you.

not sure if i’ve already done this but uhhhhhh here goes
kunikida give me high functioning anxiety vibes. man has not let himself stim in years because he deems it unacceptable behavior (internalized ableism is a bitch) but occasionally lets himself do the pen click thing when he’s alone. Also when i say high functioning i mean he’s repressed enough to function well in society and presents as the braincell of the group, but at the cost of not understanding his own emotions and stunting his empathy. sometimes he permits himself to go to the office store and touch everything, as a treat.
atsushi tends to stim in more self soothing ways, like curling up and rocking when he’s had a bad day. due to his upbringing, he isn’t the most physically expressive person in terms of movement, but when he’s reading, his entire demeanor shifts to match the tone of his book. He flaps his hands when he’s really excited and open, which only the yokohama librarian has seen up close. probably has a blanket collection for pressure stim purposes and sleeps in a tank top no matter the season
kenji has ADHD and seasonal affective disorder, he just never knew because his parents handled it well enough without a diagnosis. He gardens in order to use up his excess energy, and talks with his hands a lot, to the point where his mom taught him “inside voice, inside hands” to teach him not to knock things over. his solutions to emotional problems go something like: if lonely, pet large animal or hug, if manic, go chop some firewood. if sad, sit in sunlight and talk about feelings. kyouka doesn’t externally stim, but has a very active internal world, which manifests in anything from maladaptive daydreaming to the dolphin brain (aka there’s a perfectly logical train of thought but most of it is hidden from outsiders, and it appears that she’s just saying random things in conversation.)
ranpo self medicates like hell, and has a legitimate sugar addiction that has mellowed out over the years but would cause a lot of medical problems if it weren’t for yosano. his executive dysfunction is an absolute bitch and he doesn’t always have the vocabulary to express how he feels. tachihara gives me big ADHD vibes. he was the sort of kid who watches tv shows for the fight scenes and the found family and nothing else, and never knew that emotional dysregulation and rejection sensitive dysphoria existed even though they impacted him heavily. he got a diagnosis, but the doctor was “ah yes you are a small boy with Not Sitting Still Disorder, this is normal for males and you will endure skepticism from adults”. he stims with his weaponry, because guns make such satisfying clicking noises.
gin is in the same category of high functioning anxiety as kunikida, but slightly to the left. She’s got selective mutism, which made it hard to be taken seriously as an assassin until she decided she was gonna be the strong, silent type at work. outside of her mafia duties, she makes meticulous shopping lists and falls asleep to relaxing nature sounds.
fukuzawa comes off as this intimidating strategic leader, but honestly look at him. man loves cats, gets flustered easily, and understands ranpo. he is in no way neurotypical.

Firstly No pressure to read any of the below it’s just a lil rant after I ended up on the wrong side of tumblr!! ( + I have ADHD and i forgot my meds lol so its a bit disoriented and all over the place) and no response necessary unless you want to!
Oh god I accidentally ended up on the wrong side of tumblr....never ever ever ever again, I went back so fastttt lol im laughing at myself rn for how quickly i clicked away from disgust
i ended up on a blog that stalks u and some other larries and says absolutely atrocious things abt louis (I can send u their @ if u'd like so u can block them) and fully bought the stunt bs happening rn and it was horrible obvs but like i just do not understand like it was so creepy gina and im just so disgusted bc why? yk?
like u were not joking abt anti's actually being obsessed with larries - like half this person's blog was talking abt you and amy and i was just so shocked cause why??? like mate come on what the actual f? get a life please?? (im quite new so im like just now realising how insanely weird and obsessed these anti's are)
Also it was just an overall eye opener for multiple things:
Starting with that 1. the way 1DHQ and 1D Management managed to alienate larries actually worked and i like knew but truly doing a proper deep dive and seeing multiple blogs hate on larries and like obsessively stalk us was insane?? Like they truly believe everything they’re being fed???
Side Note: Lowkey feeling very lucky to have had the education i have because even before i even joined this fandom i believed partially none of the relationships in the news bc like i knew abt this industry and how it worked yk? i mean its logic? i have so many mates that arent even in the fandom that know i am in the fandom and texted me when the articles started rolling out calling it out for what it was: A PR stunt
Hell someone i know whom i had never even talked abt fandom stuff/stunt stuff fully texted me making a joke out of it!!! like people who aren’t even in our fandom can see it and its just insanely surprising that if they can why cant the antis?? im just a bit shocked rn

It made me realise that 1DHQ knew what the fuck they were doing when they were trying to alienate larries from the rest of the fandom, once again i am feeling extraordinarily grateful to have grown up with an education where i was literally taught to never trust anything and to always think things thru using logic - “does it makes sense to you? if not find out why, there usually a reason behind everything” my yr 9 english teacher used to say smth like that all the time and it just never left me bc she was always teaching us to judge everything and to take every piece of news we read entertainment or otherwise with a grain of salt and to always if we’re gonna give someone else our opinion or spread this information do our research (its what i am when i say i feel lucky to have had the education i have had)

It is while surprisingly to realise that anti’s fully believe these things, more surprising to see how they treat larries bc why on earth would u treat any other human being this way??? like dont get me wrong they’re horrible ppl and i fully felt like sending them a message telling them exactly that but i would never bc i just dont want to make another person feel bad abt themselves even if they are that shitty of a person and it was very tempting
I just would like to understand why they feel the need to do this? like why hate on a whole other person? for what believing smth diff to u? having a difference of opinion? how tf are they gonna make it when they get a job??? like??? do u know how often i run into a person with a different opinion then me? it shouldn’t be that big of a deal! we should still be able to be friends with antis! but we’re not - not for lack of trying btw!! they’re just so mean and rude??? when i was in other fandoms when someone believed different things there was never this much hatred at someone for it!! hell there was barely any bc it was understood that it was normal to have diff opinions abt things and i just am truly fascinated by these ppl i swear they remind how stupid the human race can sometimes be not for what they believe (altho ngl a lil of that too) but for how they treat other ACTUAL human beings with different opinions to them

Now that we have confirmation that little freak and boyfriend were written for a fine line why in the world is Harry still putting songs about his ex girlfriend on his new album? If he’s so happy with Olivia and they were so in love as everyone else likes to claim except for him why in the world is he still Putting songs that he wrote years ago on his new album? Olivia sits in that stadium every other night and dances around songs that aren’t about her but about a woman that she creepily tries to look like. It’s very odd. If I was Olivia and I had to be at a concert multiple times a week where my “boyfriend” is singing songs about another girl and on his new album there are multiple songs that are about her and none of them are about me I would be fucking pissed. If I was Olivia and I am talking about how in love I am with someone and how I want to keep our relationship private and how I didn’t leave my fiancé of 10 years who is your two kids with for this man and he turns around and in the same interview claims that he’s never been in a public relationship I would be fucking pissed. if I was Olivia and every single day I am subjected to hate, abuse, and ridicule and vitriol from my boyfriends Fanbase to the point where I can’t post my kids on social media because they are being harassed, made fun of and have death read sent to them, I have to turn off my Instagram posts because people constantly compare me to his younger and prettier girlfriends and send me hate on a daily basis to the point where I have to stop using social media all together and he does nothing to defend me I would be pissed. If I was getting abused and heat on by his Fanbase every single day and he would rather clear up a rumour of him not spitting on someone then to come to my defence I would be pissed. If I for the last year And a half have put my own life and career on hold to follow this man all over the world to be with him as much as I could and to basically abandoned my entire life to live a life that is more convenient for him and for him to refuse to claim he would piss me off. We all know if the relationship between Harry and Olivia is a stunt and it’s not real but if it was this man proves on a daily basis that he does not give a fuck about her. Her and her children and everyone that she’s associated with get hate on a daily basis and instead of checking his fans or correcting narratives that make them both look really bad he chooses to dispel a rumour about him spitting on Chris pine. At the end of the day we all know whether or not this relationship is real(it’s not) It’s going to come to an end soon and he’s the one who’s going to escape with his reputation still somewhat intact. Olivia is being called a bad mother, a bad Director, and her professional reputation has been put to question. Florence has an interacted with hairy whatsoever. She even posted a picture of Olivia and none of Harry and nobody has questioning what happened between the two of them. Here is the one who’s going to walk away from this in good light and Olivia will always have this big stain on her reputation because of Harry. When the relationship is over his fans will eventually turn on her like they all do and when that happens she will realize just how bad it is to be associated with Harry styles. A majority of the fans already don’t like her but once the relationship is over all of the fans who adore her and all of the Holivia stans will turn on her because at the end of the day they are hairy fans first. When it comes to picking sides they will always pick Harries and the people who have been defending her over the last year and a half will now be the ones who hate her the most. It happened to Taylor, it happened to Kendall, it happened to Camille and it’s going to happen to Olivia. The problem is she’s not a candle or a Taylor who is already famous enough for people to already care about her. She will fade back into obscurity with this reputation and staying on her name and career and she will then realize that the stunt did more bad than good.
