The Mist is a great movie, especially with the amazing characters and the parrels of the woman, who leaves the store in the beginning, and David.

They're both parents who would do anything for their kid(s). She left the store, risking her life, for her children while he stayed and tried to make things safe for his.

I like the skepticism of the others and how they only believe once they see the monsters. I love the conversation between the Biker and Mrs. Carmody and the one between Ollie and David after her death.

Yea, I know, my depiction of Crash is very self-indulgent. Even though I read the comic's just after watching the movie (back when it was released), when I imagine the characters tend to lean towards the comic's version (and, well, now the anime, but they are pretty similar). But in the case of Crash, I just took Erik Knudsen and ran with it lmao

they are Not Aware that they're asleep! they're all in dreams tailored to suit them specifically - wonderful dreams, the kind you don't want to wake from! or the kind where if you do wake up, you immediately go back to sleep to continue the dream. for example, Frank dreams of a huge meadow filled to the brim with beautiful insects & flowers for him to study and enjoy

i've always loved how eden alkaid takes the skills he learned from the prefect luminary to destroy (building facilities/weapons of mass destruction) and uses them to rebuild (becoming a designer/architect who takes on clients in the new eden)
