Assigned Male: Oh yeah? Did you know that your report hurt trans people? Hurt their feelings? Maybe even got some of them killed, though I won’t provide a single lick of evidence?

AM: Also, I’m going to describe your problem in a sarcastic way that diminishes your complaint.

Someone else: Yeah! She should feel unsafe.

Me: You know, if you want to convince people that pro-trans activists are not selfish, irrational, and crazy, this is a terrible way to do it.

Seriously, you are endorsing threats of murder and assault, for political purposes. Which is, y’know, terrorism. How is intimidating people who have “transphobic” views supposed to keep them from disliking you?

Your issue isn’t the actual alleged bullying, it’s when it happens to people with labels you like.

If anything, you’re just giving them - and anyone against you - more motive to see you as the enemy.

And you’re turning Dr Cass into a martyr.

EDIT: Also, UK pro-trans activists also decided that JK Rowling was responsible for a random trans kid’s murder with no evidence, and yelled at her over it. Some of them sent her (unrelated?) death threats. The bobbies said the threats were credible.

I’m not even gonna talk about the Hogwarts Legacy harassment and paranoia.

This is not remotely constructive activism.

This is a childish tantrum.

Which kind of makes it make sense that someone who uses a woke kid as their smug, self-insert Mary Sue thinks it’s good.

It’s also ironic that the artist - who loves to block - complained that people weren’t getting her side of the story on the tracing thing.

AITA for not telling my son we know he’s queer. I 40s(m) and my wife 40s(f) have a 17 (m) son lately he’s been sneaking around and keeps almost starting to come out and then backing out or getting interrupted. It’s exhausting and I think we should just tell him we know but I’m not sure that’s the best course of action? I worry it might come off wrong.the worst part is his grades have been slipping and if he’s sneaking around with a boyfriend that might be what was causing it? I think the reason conservatives hate environmentalism so much is that all the terminology is too friendly and lame sounding to take seriously. I purpose we change the following terms to get these people on our side.

Solar powered -> Plasma charged

Wind power -> Vortex energy

Electric vehicle -> Lightning machine

Renewable resource -> Infinity asset

Greenhouse gasses -> Death Clouds

Global warming -> Property devaluation

Environmentalists -> Wilderness cops

For example, saying you're a wilderness cop that drives a lightning machine powered by infinity assets to reduce death clouds and increase your property value sounds 100x more macho than the alternative.
