The members of the Justice Society of America with their own comic books.

Originally, JSA bylaws stated that once a member got their own book they went from active status to honorary status. That's why Superman and Batman were honorary members from the get-go: they had their own books before the JSA was even formed.

Flash and Green Lantern became honorary members once they received their own comic books. However, eventually that rule was relaxed and they returned to active status.

Wonder Woman was a different case altogether. Even though she had her own book before being admitted to the JSA, she was never an honorary member. Instead, she was made the group's secretary who had to record all their adventures. That didn't stop her from participating in adventures, and the secretary role was conveniently forgotten.

Superman and Batman (and Robin), on the other hand, only participated in one original JSA adventure. A very convincing argument has been made that they were not originally slated for the story they were in (I can't recall the title or issue right now), but were instead drawn in the original artwork over characters who were no longer available. There are more details about this in one of the volumes of TwoMorrows' excellent All-Star Companion.

Can we talk about barry being a third wheel/comic relief/plot mover/macguffin/background character?

Like barry allen needs to start the truth or dare game, barry allen needs to say by accident something that was a secret, barry allen needs to misunderstand a random situation, barry allen needs to take the last room and make the two characters sleep in one bed, barry allen needa to lock the two characters in a room to make them talk about their feelings, barry allen needs to be the one that mistaked the characters for a couple, barry needs to be that drunk friend that starts the fic plot by making the most stupid thing, barry allen needs to be the one that propuses the road trip.

Or if he doesn´t have anything to do he need to be there in the background being silly and funny.

And mainly I like it with barry, but I also enjoy it with other flash fam members!!
