i miss the colors. i miss the colors most of all. there are shades of blue so deep the very sight will sting the corners of your eyes with tears. there are dazzling purples so bright they glow. white shimmers and the shadows will swallow you whole. i miss it. i miss it even more than i miss my wings. the world is so beautiful already but it's been drained of its blood and now it looks barely alive.
