So, for now, some Blorbos from me:
-Intense in loves and passions (for Nobunaga, for MC once they get together, for trying to get Mitsuhide to take better care of himself, in his care for others, dude is just passionate for his loved ones!)

-Technically a tragic backstory as he frequently does Team Oda's dirty work of spying and torture, but his tragic backstory is not quite to the extent that some other characters go through, like poverty, figure-headness, and killing a loved one.
-Technically frequently violent, but it's mostly in the pranks he pulls. Not ferally violent, in a sense. He's sneaky about his violent tendencies. You don't want to mess with his wife, after all.
-Divorced? He's a double agent that always goes back to his ex (Team Oda).

-Technically an orphan as I don't think we hear much about his birth family as we do Leonardo and Vlad. They're mentioned sometimes but no word on their current status as he tends to focus more on his found family. Nie Mingjue's Fatal Journey crying scenes appreciation post
There's no way I wouldn't make this post, but it ended up way longer than I intended.
Fighting with Huaisang
When is this man not tearing up?
This fight is so important for Huaisang's character development and the movie's themes, with Huaisang being ready to challenge and question the Nie ways and Mingjue doing his best to uphold those traditions and keep the peace through the only way he knows how.
But it's still hard to be challenged like this and to face the possibility that everything you've ever known might not be right, actually.
And this gif specifically is from the moment Huaisang questions if Mingjue even knows what they're there to fight and what this supposed great evil that will come to Qinghe if they fail to balance their blades even is. Mingjue has no answer, of course, I suppose he was only taught this and never had reason to question it.
But Huaisang is also talking about the disciples they already 'lost' at this point of the movie, and he says something along the lines of " You don't know anything, you only know how to bring them here to die" and that does it. Because it's both "you can't follow these rules blindly when they rely on sacrificing people" and "you've changed and I don't trust your judgement on these matters anymore".
And as he says it, Mingjue looks at their disciples and he sees the puppets for a moment. And Huaisang just questioned if the other disciples were really attacked by puppets.
So that's a big moment and Huaisang is right, of course, but he doesn't have a confirmation that this is the result of Mingjue's health deterioration yet, so he keeps pushing. And Mingjue doesn't really have a counter argument because he knows what's going on with him, but it must be very scary to hear it from the person you care about the most and realize just how much you're being affected.
(Actually, Mingjue has one counter argument and that is "Well, I am at least trying to do something while you're painting and living a carefree life", and he's not wrong either. Huaisang is right and rightfully harsh, but this is the first time he's being confronted with these difficult choices and all their family history. He can reflect on and question it, but his brother has been meking those hard decisions since he was 14, when did he ever had a break to question and change things?)
Which leads us to
The Talk
After seeing his brother sacrifice himself for him at the bridge, and then seeing Mingjue be so vulnerable and lost, that anger from their fight is gone. They can meet in the middle with "You are right, I wasn't thinking straight, this is not a long term solution and I've failed at changing our ways" and "It's not your fault, you did everything you could but you're not responsible for this situation" and it's very beautiful and heartbreaking.
Mingjue is so remorseful, both because he has condemned Huaisang to die with him and because he feels like he failed everyone and everything (even if he doesn't seem to know what he could have done differently to avoid all this).
And Huaisang's reaction in this scene is so calm it made me think this Huaisang is somewhat used to his brother displaying vulnerability around him. This isn't book NMJ with all his victories, this isn't a man who never let the Unclean Realm be conquered and who could afford to keep Huaisang far away from the war. This is a man who was attacked and subdued in his own home, who had to send Huaisang to the hands of the people who killed their father.
This Huaisang doesn't have reasons to see Mingjue as this unmovable force, he has seen Mingjue hurt and threatened and fearful; and he's now seeing him remorseful and defeated.
(I'm sure Mingjue telling Huaisang about the fact that he's dying and admiting his mistakes and insecurities is something new, especially considering their previous fight, but this Huaisang doesn't take it as a shock, because he knows his brother is only human and there's only so much he can handle. He even, like, explicitly says this)
And so he assumes this calm, reassuring and empathetic posture, because that's what his brother is asking for. And it's the most beautiful thing, Huaisang has so much love for him, so much empathy. And this is Mingjue's reaction to his brother's reassurance that it's okay if they have to die there:
I'm sure Huaisang is still processing Mingjue's "I only forced you to practice because I'll die soon", but he's so good at reassuring his brother.
Because Mingjue just told him "I am dying and I'll go as a failure" and Huaisang insisted "None of this is your fault and you did everything you could and more, and if I have to die here with you today, I don't regret a thing, and you shouldn't either".
There's no despair or anger that his brother is only telling him this now, there's only understanding and acceptance and so much love and they really knew what they were doing with this movie.
His people love him
Mingjue is so moved. He just admitted to Huaisang that he's not in peace with his accomplishments, or lack thereof; that he feels ashamed to face his ancestors, having done so little.
So I truly believe Mingjue doesn't consider himself worthy of this much trust and support. (And I can't ignore how this is tied to the Nightless City situation, where he led the men who trusted him with their lives to a dangerous situation and couldn't save any of them).
As we see in the confrontation at Jinlintai, that technically happens after this movie, that is still a very sensitive topic.
And here he has his loyal disciples saying they will follow him yet again, despite his previous 'failures'; just like Huaisang was ready to die with him. They have so much trust in him, and the way he's nodding a little here, just like he was nodding when Huaisang reminded him of everything he's done for their sect since their father died, is like he's convincing himself of it. That he can do this and he can do this right this time.
And yet
He fails again. And I don't even think he knows it was him who killed those disciples, like some people say. He doesn't need to because it doesn't matter. His men, who followed him till the end of the world, are dead again. And so is the hope he had of doing this one right thing before he dies.
Yes, he supressed the saber spirit like he had to, but they're still dead, all of them.
He falls apart, how could he not?
At some point I'm sure Huaisang his holding all his weight because he just gives up. There's only so much loss one can handle and that's way too much.
And look at the way Huaisang is watching him as he realizes something inside Mingjue shattered forever.
There's so much pain in this scene, it looks physically taxing and I hope people gave Wang Yizhou a break after he shot this. I know it's his job and he's phenomenal at it, but this has to mess with your head a little.
And hey, it's a Huaisang crying scene as well. CQL Huaisang only really cries twice. First he watches his brother have a mental breakdown in his arms after unknowingly killing his own disciples; and then as he watches his brother qi deviate and die, while unable to do anything to either stop or comfort him.
(And a lot of people said there's no hesitation on Huaisang's part when he rushes to his brother's aid when Mingjue is hurt on this post's notes, and that's true for book Huaisang too, because he runs towards Mingjue as he is qi deviating, gets hurt in the process, and still keeps calling for him, which makes CQL's decision to have JGY holding him back kind of cruel, tbh, there's not a Huaisang who would run from a hurting Mingjue regardless of the risks
But at least we have this scene.)
And that's it, I guess. There's nothing uplifting to say about this, really. He just went through a lot and kept shouldering everything until he couldn't anymore. I just wish book NMJ had gotten to receive the same love and comfort and acceptance from NHS before he died, I wish he had been able to tell his brother what was actually happening, but thats kind of the purpose of this movie, so I'm just very grateful that it exists.
It's like that post says, it didn't change anything but the love was there, you know? That's how this movie feels for me.

Kevin Day & Grief:
how can you grieve the loss of an abuser?
aight let’s just get right into yet another psycho-analysis of Kevin Day and his messed up life; I’ll be using quotes from the EC
“Kevin does not react well to Riko's death at all, and this is a problem for a while considering what Riko's done to the Foxes. But Kevin & Riko have a long and complicated history.”
It is a very heavy and sharp type of grief to carry, when the person you mourn is someone who did terrible things to you and others. It’s not easy. It makes you feel guilty for missing them, makes you full of regret and “what ifs”. Grief is not rational, it’s something that tries to drown and take everything it can with it. Kevin is aware of what Riko was like, was well versed in the things he did and said. But he knew Riko before it all, he knew Riko when they could barely put their own shoes on. He saw Riko’s changes firsthand. He’s grieving everything that Tetsuji stole from the both of them. He remembers Riko in ways no one else ever will. The burden of seeing someone you love turn into the very thing you’re afraid of, is a heavy one to bear. It is even more heavy to know that everything that was good about them, dies with you.
Anger is always quick to rear its ugly head after the initial shock and the tears wear off, and it’s an emotionally bloody affair. Anger caused by sadness is one of the most gut wrenching kinds of anger, because there’s really nothing you can do about it but let it pass. You’re stuck feeling it, you have no choice. So yeah, Kevin was definitely angry. Angry at what Riko did to him, angry at the fact he’s outliving him, angry that he’s gone and angry because fuck, he shouldn’t be feeling this way, it’s not fair to everyone he’s harmed. For the first time in his life, he might’ve even hated Exy. All it has done is take from him the people that he loves, and playing is an eternal and constant reminder that he has succeeded Kayleigh and Riko. Picking up that racquet reminds him of his hand, and in turn, of Riko, who even at his worst was still loved by Kevin. And at the lowest points of his grief, seated in a bathtub and drunk off his ass, sorrow sometimes made Kevin wish it had been him instead.
“Wymack has to send the rest of the team back to South Carolina with Abby. Kevin is too numb to be moved yet.”
Kevin was so devastated he could not be moved; whether this is meant literally or in a “he didn’t have the energy to leave the house” kinda way, it’s still sad. Being so crippled by an emotion as heavy as grief that you cannot leave the home is hard. It’s painful. You’re dissociated and everything is a blur. You don’t register time passing. Eating, drinking, doing basic things all go out the window. And we all know what Kevin is like. He’s a routine oriented, night practice, calorie counting health nut who lives and breathes exy. He was so distressed that this man did not move and that means most likely, he did not fucking practice either. Kevin’s life ground to a halt for a second time because of Riko.
“It's a problem for a while because the Foxes' knee-jerk reaction to his devastated reaction is ugly. It'll take time for them to try and understand where he's coming from. Even Aaron has an awful opinion on the matter since he knows Riko was behind Drake. Renee attempts to play peacekeeper, but Wymack is the one who has to break his rule to stay out of their personal lives so he can try and fix things. He, Abby, and Betsy bring the Foxes to Abby's place two & three at a time to let them react and tirade in private. It's not enough, but it's a start.”
Kevin is not allowed to grieve without being guilted or punished for it in some way. He has never known a grief experience where he was completely supported during it. When his mother died, he was stuck with Tetsuji and Riko. He never learned how to grieve properly or healthily, and being attacked by the foxes for even feeling something didn’t fucking help. Wymack is the only (and probably first) person in his life who stayed by his side for this. Wymack went to the funeral, he stayed until Kevin could handle going back home. Wymack saw Kevin shatter and knew that he needed time to try to glue himself back together before the team inevitably caused him to crack again.
Wymack, Abby and Bee having to step in is all kinds of upsetting. Imagine having to basically set up impromptu vent sessions for your entire team because they cannot keep their personal feelings to themselves and can’t let a teammate grieve in peace. Granted the foxes aren’t exactly pinnacles of emotional regulation or maturity, but the least they could’ve done was leave Kevin alone (and let Neil and Andrew handle him)
“By the time they meet up again in the fall, the Foxes have attempted to forgive him his issues, because they understand from a logical standpoint that it's conditioned devotion.”
The foxes have every right to not grieve Riko, they have every right to hate him. They didn’t have the right to take it out on Kevin and isolate him even further from the group. It is a jarring feeling to be looked down on for mourning a loss. He did not need to be forgiven for his mourning. He did not need to apologize for missing Riko. His grief wasn’t something to be loathed. At the end of the day, Riko and Kevin were everything and nothing to each other. They operated on a delicate line of balance that shouldn’t have been able to be created. Their push and pull dictated every breath both of them took. Yeah, it was conditioned devotion in the end. But it didn’t start that way.
“Kevin Day goes on to be hailed the best player in the sport, the striker all future generations are compared to. The Jackie Robinson, the Wayne Gretsky, the bend it like Beckham. When the ERC constructs a Hall of Fame, Kevin Day is the first player to be honored.”
When Kevin received this honor, for a split second, he wished Riko was alive to share it. They started this dream together, after all. Only one of them being alive at the end is perhaps the biggest anguish of all.

The night had fallen, and the sky was pitch black. The only light source was the colorful glow of the amusement park's neon signs.
The atmosphere was electric with the sound of screams and laughter. It was the ideal night for a horror attraction. Noah was cocky and fearless, stating that he'd been preparing for this with his boxing and martial arts skills. "Don't worry babe, I'll protect you!" He wrapped his arm around your shoulder and pulled you close, planting a kiss on your temple. "I won't even make fun of you if you scream." He smirked.
As you entered the building, a corpse-like creature jumped out of the hidden side wall, and Noah shrieked like a little child, making you burst into laughter.
His arms around your body squeezed you so hard that you could barely breathe as he gasped for air and almost threw you to the monster. "Wow, Babe." You said, peeling him off your body. "It's okay, love, it looks like I'll be the one protecting you from here on out." You continued walking through the attraction, and more horrors appeared.
Noah tried his best to suppress the screams and jumps, but you could see him twitching out of the corner of your eye. You stayed calm and composed, firmly holding his hand and reassuring him that you were there. You regretted agreeing to go if you knew he would have such a rough time. A loud bang came from behind you, and you saw a creepy clown darting in and out of sight, making your heart pound with fear. Clowns were not your thing, and this started to worry you until you noticed that the person was not targeting you but your terrified boyfriend, who was already having the worst night of his life.
You stood in front of Noah, who was having a minor meltdown. He didn't realize how realistic these things were when your friend organized the whole thing and invited you. He would have changed his mind if he had seen a preview of the theme park first.
You put your hand up in front of the person's face, ensuring not to touch anyone and cause a scene, "Nope, not here!" You yelled as they tried to get past you and grab Noah, who had his hands around your shoulders, using you as a human shield. "I will fucking fight you." You told them, "I'll literally ruin your career. All I have to do is tell Maria that you're breaking the rules, and you're done. Back off!" You warned them again, and the clown, this time, slowly backed away to the open door, leaving you and Noah alone.
You turned around to face Noah, your hands on his hips, smiling, "You're adorable when you're scared."
He finally smiles, looking down at you. "I don't ever want to talk about this night again. Don't you dare tell anyone!" He says, laughing. "I don't know what the fuck that was."
"I don't need to tell anyone. The pictures that I'm going to buy at the end of this will tell all."
He follows you down the hall, where he can see the light at the end of the tunnel. "What pictures?"
You tilt your head back, laughing evilly, "They take pictures through this, and at the end of it, you can buy them. I'm just hoping one of them caught your scream." You almost leave Noah behind when you reach the photo area. You grab the picture, holding it up and squealing as you hold it close to your chest. "It fucking got it!"
Noah shakes his head, slightly embarrassed of how he acted. He takes the picture from your hands. "This needs to go where it will never be seen."
"It's going on the fridge." You say, grabbing it back. "Maybe even on the internet. Who knows." You joke. "I might accidentally send it to the boys too."
"You better fucking not." He pulls you close to his chest with a light laugh. "Come on, let's go get some pumpkins. I'm done with this scary shit."
“Alright, birthday boy. Whatever you want.”
You and Noah sat on the kitchen floor of your home, surrounded by newspaper, with a pumpkin in front of each of you. You were wondering when Noah would get a message from one of the guys about his picture. You knew they were out and about, but you needed them to flick him some shit since he bragged for the last month about how haunted houses never scared him.
"Look," you said, holding your pumpkin for Noah to see. "Can you tell what it is?"
He smiled, setting his carving knife down and reaching for your masterpiece. Noah held it in his hands, rotating it back and forth to get the full view. "A face," he said.
"Yeah, but like a scary face, right?" Your smile slowly faded as you second-guessed the entire project. Was it that bad?
"Of course," he laughed as he threw some pumpkin guts into the brown bag beside him. "Don't do that second-guessing shit, it's good!"
"Yeah?" you fake-laughed as you set the art project on the ground. Your eyes drifted to Noah, who was still scooping. "What are you going to do?"
“A ghost.” His brown eyes lifted to yours, noticing that your smile had faded. "Babe, it looks terrifying. It needs a jump scare warning. I think I just need to put my glasses on." He gets up, runs his hands under the sink, and steps over the baby gate that blocks the kitchen from the animals.
You hear him thudding around in the living room. Finally, he lets out an "ah ha" and enters the kitchen. "Found them," he says.
He scoops the pumpkin from the ground, holding it up to his eyes to get good lighting. "That's sick! I like the three teeth!" he exclaims as if he hadn't noticed it before. "He's got a nice nose job too. Don’t get me started on those cover girl eyes. Beautiful.” He laughs. (Pumpkins)
You playfully roll your eyes. "Your eyesight isn't even bad, but thank you for trying."
Noah sits on the ground before you, watching as you put the finishing touches on your masterpiece. He could watch you for hours while you did things that you loved. He loved how you stuck your tongue out or bit your lip when you concentrated and scrunched your nose when you didn't quite love something you did.
You lift your eyes to him, catching him staring at you. "What?" You nervously say. "Is there something on me? If there is a fucking bug on me you better get it off."
"No bug." He smiles. "Just admiring you."
You hear his phone buzz on the ground beside the two of you, and you bite your lip, knowing it would ruin the moment because you asked them to respond in a group chat, and since your phone had notified you...well.
You watch Noah pick up his phone. His mouth drops open when he sees the responses from his bandmates. "How fucking dare you!" He says, biting back his smile. His eyes darken as he looks at you, shaking his head. "You better fucking run because I'm about to tackle you."

ooooh I love the ESB relationship hcs!!! the perfect amount of fluff and angst <3 now how about your thoughts on ROTJ Luke...
Thank you so much, I'm happy you enjoyed them! Let's see what I come up with for ROTJ Luke👀
• let's take a quick look at the overall situation first
• just like in ESB, Luke is going through a lot and while he is able to take all these challenges head on, even coming out stronger on the other side, internally he struggles
• especially because he went through so much in such a little period of time after living a relatively sheltered life before (as sheltered as one can be while growing up on Tatooine of course)
• he's grieving not only the deaths of the people who raised him, but also those of friends and his two teacher/father figures (not even counting his ACTUAL father, that's a whole other topic)
• too often he thought his friends, his newly found family, dead and even faced death several times himself
• additionally it's only realistic for him to have major survivers guilt and blame himself for a lot that happened
• I also think he is haunted by the knowledge of how many people have died at his hands. Because of his force sensitivity he must have sensed how he alone was responsible for the disappearance of millions of little specks of light that once were living beings
• he believes that many could have been saved from the Empire's grip if only they had been made aware that turning their back and changing sides wouldn't have meant their death anymore
• he has compassion, even for his enemies and while that is a wonderful trait, it hurts him as well
• to sum it up: he's not having a good time
• now that we covered this, we again have to consider: for how long have you two known each other up to this point?
• if you have been with him since the very beginning or got to know him during ESB, the events that followed put your relationship to a hard test
• plus his demeanor, as well as he as a person, changed drastically during and after his training with Yoda and the end of ESB
• deep down he is still your Luke, but it takes you a while to find him under that stoic and reserved exterior
• for a while you are not sure how to approach him and if the old rules of your love still apply
• he changed so much, you can't help but fear that maybe so did his feelings for you
• eventually though, you will always find your way back to each other, even overcoming his struggles regarding the Jedi rules of old that forbid attachments
• you are at his side and so he is at yours and only like this does the universe make sense
• however with all his experiences and new knowledge, your relationship dynamic changes
• you aren't able to make him laugh as easily as before
• also it has become difficult to catch him off guard (sneaking up on him, telling an outrageous joke, catching him staring at you, etc.), something you liked to do a lot
• so if you do manage to surprise him it's definitely a highlight of your day
• it's near impossible to plan out gifts or a birthday party
• he'll be happy and feel appreciated anyways but you find it to be frustrating at times
• on the other hand, you now get the best presents ever because he knows what you want and need before you do
• one thing you really appreciate is his new found ability to communicate, even during stressful situations
• however his impulsive behavior is still a thing, only now being additionally fueled by his connection to the force
• if you say one thing and the force says another, he will often feel torn and need time to figure things out for himself
• he is more withdrawn in general, often retiring early or randomly throughout the day to meditate
• when he tells you about his imminent confrontation with Vader you are THIS close to ripping him a new one before breaking down in tears
• some things never change and you'll have to be as patient with ROTJ Luke as you were with him during ESB
• even if it's hard, you have to trust into him and his abilities
• he's so mysterious now
• it's hot, you're not going to lie
• so are his new outfits
• you love how they accentuate his strong body and show off his muscles (and his ass) when he moves
• when in the past you were the one to catch him staring, he now catches you
• he'll tease you about it but secretly he's pleased you think him attractive
• sometimes he asks you to cut his hair for him and likes to brush yours
• his arms, more so than ever, are the safest place in the entire galaxy
• when he's able to relax, his playful side from the past comes to the surface again
• still he loves to make you laugh and shriek in delight when he holds you down to cover your entire face in disgusting wet kisses
• he's so much stronger than you and there is no escaping him when the mood strikes
• yet, while he doesn't mention it, you know he's afraid of accidentally hurting you, still somewhat unused to his newfound strength
• the gentleness with which he treats and touches you, makes your stomach flutter
• he never raises his voice at you anymore, not even in frustration or playful manner
• through everything he experienced you were by his side, a steady light supporting him, and he wants you to know how much he appreciates you in return
• if you are not close yet, maybe never exchanged more than friendly greetings during ANH and ESB, just know you will STRUGGLE getting close to him
• not because he is unapproachable in any way
• it's just...he's so much all at once and it's quite intimidating
• his sister is Princess Leia Organa, he's a Jedi and a widely celebrated hero, the wildest stories are circulating about him, he's terrifying to come across on the battlefield and a very good pilot, he exceeds you in rank for miles,...
• and despite being well known, no one really knows him
• sometimes, for a split second, it's as if he's not wholly human
• sometimes a shadow falls over his face, making the room temperature drop a few degrees
• sometimes he's scary without meaning to
• your crush on him is so all consuming you don't know what to do
• most likely he will be the one to take action, initiating small conversations here and there, always careful to not scare you away

What is your OCs fatal flaw? Are they aware of this flaw?
In his current state? Probably his selflessness. He gives too much to people and has a hard time drawing lines if it's someone he deeply cares about. Case in point, letting Naida more or less railroad the entire family into chasing the Fountain of Youth. In his defense, Naida isn't really someone you can win fights against, but considering the dangerous nature of the voyage, one would think he should have fought against it a lot harder. I do think he's aware of it, but not in a way he can actively check, because it's a lot of him overcompensating for the way he used to be and the things he's done. So I guess a larger and probably more fatal flaw is the fact that he carries around so much guilt and does a lot in the name of reparations.
How easily could your OC be convinced to do something that goes against their moral compass?
Easily, but tbh I feel this is one thing Ven shares with Kato. His morals can be bent depending on who is involved and the consequence of the situation. Ven isn't standing on moral highground in the first place, despite understanding right and wrong well enough. He certainly doesn't care enough about authority not to break rules, and as far as life or death is concerned, a life will always matter less to him if they're at odds with someone he loves. That being said, I think he's resourceful enough to find ways around making risky choices.
What's one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them?
Also a really fun question, cuz I haven't thought about it in years LOL. Though Ven stayed mostly the same from conception, he was supposed to be a bit more "roguish" even after his Reaper years. More of the typical pirate: loose, unkempt and thieving. But he ended up being way more charitable and straightlaced than I'd initially planned, but that ironed itself out almost immediately so I don't really consider it to have been "the plan" just "what I had had in mind at some point" lmao. Now the idea of Ven sleeping around with literally anyone is goddamn baffling to me.
Do you have a specific lyric or quote which you associate with your OC?
Every single word of his theme song, "The Balancer's Eye" by Lord Huron, but all of this:

If you met your OC, would the two of you get along?
I think Ven is one of the few characters I can genuinely answer "yes" to this question lmao. Just because Ven is hands down the least judgmental of my OCs, not to mention packing all that charisma, he can literally talk to anyone. Although I probably would just be dead on the floor so it wouldn't be a very interesting conversation.
How does your OC behave when enraged?
We so rarely see Ven angry. Honestly, a bit like Kyrie, Ven has a quiet temper. He's good at restraining himself now, because he knows intimately well just how horrible of a person he can be, so he makes a concerted effort never to let anything get him that upset. Mostly, things don't anger him as much as he may be disappointed or saddened. There is one scene in OST:O I've had planned for years that actually showcases Ven's true anger and it is very much "silent and lethal" lmao.
What character alignment would you consider your OC to be?
Oof, I dunno, somewhere between neutral good and chaotic neutral. Hard to pinpoint lol
What is an alternative life path your OC might have gone done? How different would their life be if they'd made those decisions?
Oh, this one is interesting. I think Ven could have easily continued down the path he started on when he got the sight. That is, had he not been able to pull himself back from that maniacal person he'd become as consequence, he'd be unrecognizable today. That's not to say he isn't already because he absolutely was that person for a moment in time. The Reaper King wasn't just a persona, it was his entire essence. He was ruthless, violent and he did very literally kill dozens (I won't say 100s but it's up there) of people. We like to imagine him as the loving father and perfect husband he is now, but outside of maybe Elsera he's my OC with the highest bodycount. And while in a way you could justify he killed people because "they deserved to die" he was never in the right to pass that judgement. Had he not eventually woken up from that state of trauma and derangement, he'd still be a completely unstable murderous lunatic .-.
What is your favorite thing about your OC?

Satsuki Ito [Courting Meme]
1. ♥ Do they seek out love or let it find them? Are they even interested in romance?
He doesn’t seek it out but he’s not resistant to where his crushes may leave him. When he fell he tended to fall HARD and that was displayed from the previous crush he had that didn’t really fade away until he met you. He wasn’t interested in romancing you at first, as striking as he found you, but the friendship and closeness that began to form convinced him that he’d be a fool to miss out on a connection like that. He’s not good at being romantic, but he is earnest and genuine with his care for you, so it makes up for any missteps that may happen at the beginning of the relationship.
2. ♥ When they have a crush on someone, how do they let them know?
The fact Satsuki, quite suddenly, can’t spit out a single word around you is more than enough proof for you that something has shifted in your relationship. You’re surprised that it seemed like he was going backwards in progress as the friendship did start with this awkward phase, but he had since talked to you like he did his brothers. The change alerts you to the sudden shift in his feelings and he hates that he’s so obvious that he can’t even formulate the words he wanted to in his confession.
3. ♥ Tell us about a time they were rejected.
You did reject him at first. It was clear to you that his attraction to Anne had yet to die down, and while you didn’t doubt he was interested in you, you also weren’t going to play second fiddle to another person. There was a choice that had to be made, and if he couldn’t consider you his number one, then you weren’t interested in dating him. The conversation was upsetting for both of you as he did have to decide what was best for him: did he want to pursue the enigmatic Anne who he had crushed on for so long, or should he pursue the genuine connection and love he felt for someone who was in his life daily? It was an easy choice after he started thinking clearly, and he promised to prove that his heart was all yours for as long as you needed.
4. ♥ Do they spend a lot of time in the courting stage or attempt to get to first base as fast as possible?
There’s a decent amount of time spent in the courting stage just because of Satsuki having a great deal to prove to you. His head was in the game though and he wasn’t going to rush you into anything, just enjoying the process of getting to know you in a different way now that he had the chance to take you on dates. He enjoyed getting to see your cuter side and could’ve cried the first time you let him hold your hand, knowing these feelings were everything he had hoped for and more when it came to love.
5. ♥ Do they wait to be intimate until after marriage or break all the social rules?
Satsuki doesn’t necessarily want to wait, but he leaves the decision up to you. In the end he is a horny man who can barely contain himself around you, but he does still exercise self-control for the sake of your comfort. He’s twitchy and easily turned on so if you did want to make that leap, you could do so relatively early in the relationship.
6. ♥ Do they have open or closed relationships?
Very much a closed relationship type of guy. He’d be heartbroken if you told him he wasn’t good enough and that you needed more from other people; he’d work overtime to prove that he could be enough, just please don’t look at other people the way you look at him.
8. ♥ Are they loyal to their partners?
Satsuki is loyal to his very core. There might be some worries before you were together but Satsuki made good on his promise to prove you were his priority in romance. You were one of the family almost right away, which meant he was always around you or bringing you around, and if you weren’t around, he was mentioning you. It could almost drive the others in the house nuts if it wasn’t precious to see how hopelessly in love and dedicated he was to you.
9. ♥ Are they patient with their partners?
Satsuki can be unintentionally pushy but once he realized what he was doing he takes several steps back, apologizing for making it seem like he was pulling you in a certain direction. He wants an equal partnership where you respect each other but he does want to be considered your protector; he wants to make you feel safe and loved and know you could turn to him whenever you needed help. If it meant learning how to be patient and not question you on decisions that make take some time for you to mull over, he’d do so. You’re worth every ounce of effort.
10. ♥ Do they include their partners in most aspects of their life?
You’re included in just about every aspect of life that he can get you involved in. It makes his stomach turn to think about you working at Club CANDY with the rest of them, especially if it was as a host rather than a worker like him, but if it was what you wanted he’d try to get you in Iori’s good graces. You would also be invited to their family dinners and outings often, as long as it was something that was deemed safe for you to be involved in.

This idea came to my head so im requesting this if you don't mind, but like what if mc was a demon and had a evil cycle since in welcome to demon school iruma the demons there have it changing their personality 180
Used the Wiki again cuz I’ve never even heard of this anime before. It looks awesome, though. Also, with the use of ‘mc’ in the request, imma guess it was a request for Obey Me! and I will be doing the Dateables because I love them :) If I got the request wrong, feel free to submit another request. It is my only exception to my Requests Closed Rule.
Diavolo
First off, he is curious about the differences between you and him. You are a different type of demon than what you usually see in the Devildom, so he wants to know all about you. He’s read you student file front to back but it doesn’t tell him nearly enough.
Cue inviting you over as much as he can so he can so he can know more about you. He will walk with you through the gardens to talk to you and ask you questions. Hell, he’d invite you over for dinner every night if he could. But, he understands that you are in the dinner rotation at HoL.
Now, the work at RAD is hard. He’s not going to lie, it’s very difficult. Especially the History and Math courses. However, he doesn’t seem to notice how it seems to be taking a toll on your mental health. If he does, he just writes it off as something else.
So, imagine his surprise when you can’t take it anymore and you snap. You start behaving differently, losing your usual kind and selfless disposition. Diavolo tries to get you under control, but it proves useless. Eventually, he got the brothers, Barbatos, and the Exchange Students to help set up a trap.
Since a lot of your stress also comes from the Residents of the House of Lamentation, the plan was for you to chase Mammon. When it worked, you were in a cage that had a pillow and a blanket. You started screaming at them to let you out, and the young Lord was about to give in when he was pulled away by the others.
The next day, Diavolo walked to the room that held your cage, and gently woke you up. You seemed to have recovered a bit, and he let out a tiny sigh of relief. He opened the door, hugged you, and told you to tell him if you are pushed to that breaking point again.
You then tell him that you had a safeword that could break you out of your Wicked Phase. He felt honored that you trusted him with something so important, so he made sure that he stored it deep into his memory.
Barbatos
He probably would have read your student bio and every file he could reach on you so that he could gain a deeper understanding about you. He asked for your permission before reading it, and wouldn’t read it if you told him no.
The one file you told him ‘no’ contained some crucial information. You thought he didn’t need to know considering you weren’t stressed at the point he asked about it. You would come to regret that decision later.
Your stress levels were at an all-time high. You had homework, as well as balancing your social life, getting the brothers out of trouble from Lucifer, helping out at the Castle, your regular chores… it was just getting to be way too much for one demon.
You eventually snapped and started having the guts to tell people ‘no’. Like when Mammon decided he was going to hide in your room, you outed him right to Lucifer. When Leviathan tried to gaslight you into hanging out with you, you told him bluntly that you wouldn’t fall for his usual trick and told him you were busy.
It was getting out of hand when you called Diavolo ignorant for trying to make light of a heavy situation. That’s when the butler knew there was something wrong. You got along with everyone… Why were you suddenly acting like this?
Going against your words and his better judgment, he read the file. He discovered that you went through Evil Cycles, where you would act sadistically and could possibly become violent. He read on and on, and it held your safeword. He rushed out of the room to the HoL, hoping that you didn’t murder one of the Brothers yet.
When he arrived, he saw that you were very close to either killing or being killed by Lucifer. He noticed that Mammon had a black eye that he tried to hide under his glasses. There was a verbal altercation happening between you and the (unfortunately much stronger) eldest demon brother.
He yelled out your safeword and you immediately snapped out of it. You turned and saw Barbatos had a file in his hand. He apologized for going against what you said, but he was concerned that you could have been sick or you could have been poisoned or something like that. You told him that it was fine and then you turned and apologized for the physical injuries, but not for their hurt egos.
Simeon
He gets to know you during your visits to Purgatory Hall. Luke has come to actually like your company, much like he does Barbatos’. You spend a lot of time baking treats and learning recipes from each other.
You tell him why you are different from most demons in the Devildom. You tell him about how you got here from your dimension and what it was like back where you’re from (not that it was too much different seeing as it had different ‘areas’, much like the Devildom). You even tell him about your evil cycle and your safeword.
One day, you find yourself over-exerted. Whenever you try to relax, someone has a problem that you need to deal with for peace to be restored. Plus, whenever you weren’t doing that, you were either doing your mountains of homework or your chores. Free time? Don’t know her.
As a result, you reach your breaking point. After Mammon told you that you wouldn’t be as great as him, you slapped him and called him a self-entitled jerk. You then went off on Beelzebub (who was just standing there) for eating the food that you had spent hours making for yourself. You shoved Asmo off of you when he went in for a squeeze, hard enough that he was pushed to the ground.
When it reached Simeon’s ears that you seemingly went haywire out of nowhere, he knew there was more to the story. You had even told him about how your stress had been building upon itself to new heights, it was just that no one beside him bothered to actually see what was in front of their eyes. He remembered the word that could snap you out of it and rushed to HoL.
When he got there, he saw the damage you’d already dealt: not much on the physical level, but bruised pride was definitely present. You were currently yelling at Satan, provoking him and making him angry as well. However, upon further inspection, the anger he was feeling was more out of emotional hurt rather than the they-have-the-audacity-to-yell-at-me anger.
He said the safeword in the loudest and clearest voice he could muster, and that made you immediately stop yelling. You looked around and saw everyone with shocked looks on their faces (aside from Satan, who was trying to calm himself down). You apologized profusely to those who stood hurt.
He was glad no one was seriously hurt, but he was concerned about you. From then on, he vows that he would never let you get to that stage of stress or exhaustion. He would invite you over to Purgatory Hall so that you could have some moments of peace and quiet.
Solomon
He would also get to know more about you through your visits at Purgatory Hall, as well as being able to travel through dimensions via magic. He has visited your dimension before and therefore knows a lot about you.
However, he has never witnessed an Evil Cycle. When you tell him about it one day, he asks a bunch of questions while taking notes in case something happens. Mans prolly has a notebook dedicated to things from your dimension.
After a while, it just gets to be too much. You get to the point where you can’t take 5 minutes away from everything without 1) someone needing help, 2) feeling the anxiety that something remains undone, 3) finding yourself taking on extra chores to fill up any extra time.
Obviously, with all that you are doing to yourself as well as the tasks given to you from the brothers, the other exchange students, and the residents of the Castle, you snap at someone. That someone just so happened to be Lucifer.
You told him no after he asked you to go shopping for food for HoL. You told him that he had already given you too many tasks and that you had your own to do as well. He did the whole lecture about how “you were now a Resident in the house and as such you would do as he asked” when you used the pact to make him shut up, sit down, and listen for once. You went off on him and the other brothers weren’t safe from your wrath either. The rage in your eyes rivaled Satan’s, and that scared even him.
After one of them texted him, Simeon, Barbatos, and Diavolo an SOS message, they all arrived as quickly as they could. They looked around and saw that Lucifer had a handprint on his face, most likely the result of you slapping him. The others didn’t look better either, Belphie even had a black eye.
Solomon used his magic to keep you trapped within an invisible box so that you couldn’t go anywhere. They searched for anything that could help you when he remembered that he had a whole notebook dedicated to you and your dimension. After he whipped it out of thin air, he flipped through the pages and saw the page he had on Evil Cycles.
He said the safeword that you mentioned in a clear tone and you seemingly snapped out of whatever was going on. You looked around and saw the brothers in their current state. Like the baddie you are, you didn’t apologize and told them that you just got the guts to teach them how they treated you and gave them what they deserved: bruised faces and egos.

call me crazy but i REALLY enjoyed the ending of good omens s2! (spoilers below the cut)
OKAY crowley points this out when he tells gabriel to jump out the window, but aziraphale didnt actually witness heaven's direct cruelty to him, didnt experience first hand how willing they were to throw him away and kill him the second he disagreed with them. crowley, however, did. we dont know if they ever told each other exactly what happened, or if crowley ever told zira that gabriel had said "just shut your stupid mouth and die already." it clearly lasted with crowley, he remembers the exact words.
the choice neil made for aziraphale to not yet fully understand that "good guys" and "bad guys" arent accurate depictions of heaven and hell makes sense when you realize that he's never received the reality of being punished by them. crowley isn't naive though, he's been through this more than once, has witnessed the cult like mentality of heaven and hell and tried to help aziraphale escape. he's always tried to help zira come to his own conclusions, and usually, he at least comes to an understanding (poor people DO have less opportunities, and you're helping science!). you can feel his desperation when hes asking his angel to leave with him, both in season 1 and season 2. but that resignation in his eyes when he realizes that zira is still stuck in the cult of heaven, still cant really see in shades of grey- he knows that nothing he says or does will change zira's mind; the only thing that will change his mind is seeing first hand the cruelty and lack of compassion from heaven towards aziraphale himself.
there were so many amazing moments where they showed the lack of knowledge from heaven. the rule that they're not to visit earth, not to know too much (or anything, it seems) about humans. because someone in heaven knows that access to knowledge makes you smarter, makes you curious, makes you ask questions. whether or not thats the decision of god, or of metatron remains to be seen. but one person being in charge, who's clearly clueless but pretends to know what god wants, is classic cult leader shit. people who follow along without question, who assume that their will is good- that's what the angels are. its hard to truly hate them when you realize that they're all under the same thumb. that scene when uriel asks the metatron if they've done something wrong was kind of heart breaking, they're just children playing a game they were never told all the rules to.
what makes crowley so fascinating as a character is that he's curious, he asks questions. he's not good, he's not bad, he's just... himself. honestly, he's more human than demon in his choices. what he said about following hell as far as he can, so he can stay on his own side is just perfect- and yeah, lonely. and i cant even imagine how lonely he feels now. im obsessed with how we're shown his attempts at changing aziraphale's mind - something about him being the one to encourage aziraphale to try human food, something about him inviting aziraphale to Edinburgh to show him how poverty forces you to make morally questionable choices, that not everything is black and white - idk. it's subtle, it's allowing him to come to the same conclusion on his own, it makes me want to shovel aquarium gravel into my mouth
aziraphale, when he's away from heaven's influence, is much more morally grey, he's more himself, he's happier. but as soon as his superiors are around, he loses all sense of self. he automatically assumed he was going to fall for lying to the other angels and not killing innocent children. he knows better than to ask questions, he KNOWS that what he's asked to do is sometimes wrong, but he has this cognitive dissonance he cant get past- heaven asks him to do things that are bad, but heaven isnt bad. heaven is always good, so what theyre asking must not be bad. but, killing children is pretty objectively bad. he cant kill children. but its god's will, so he has to, it must be good. but its not. and round and round it goes. he's never actually been punished by heaven firsthand, and i think once he sees close up that heaven's will isn't necessarily god's will, and that god's will is not always benevolent, he'll realize. he'll realize that you cant always change things from the inside, that there's a systematic issue that can only be solved by dismantling the institution. god i hope season 3 is dismantling heaven.
all in all i love this ending i am SUCH a sucker for escaping cult stories (nimona and she-ra, nd stevenson i love u). like your whole life you are so sure that you're doing the right thing, and then someone comes along and turns everything upside down and asks you questions, forces you to ask questions, and you can't help but defend where you came from, surely there has to be some mistake, if you could just talk to someone higher up you're sure you could clear this whole misunderstanding up, and then that higher up tell you point blank that they know what theyre doing, they know that innocent people are getting hurt. you witness their violence firsthand, and its intentional, its directed towards YOU. because you dared to ask if what we're doing is really the right thing. and that's when you finally understand.

And Hannibal is a gentlemen by nature. And because of his job choice, he’s very perceptive of human body language. He would notice straight away something was up. But he’s also not one to be pushy. He knows you aren’t a patient, and he doesn’t want to treat the relationship as such.
He would just silently take your coat, or offer a shoulder to lean on when you take off your shoes. And he would lead you to the kitchen, ready to make anything you ask for. Food is very much how this man shows any of his emotions, but love is a strong one. He puts his heart and soul into cooking.
Even if the comfort foods aren’t his taste, he doesn’t mind at all. Mashed potatoes, chicken tenders, puffy tofu and rice! If you want it, you’re going to get the best damn version of it he can make.
Hannibal (despite breaking the law) is surprisingly very strict on rules. Normally it’s no dessert or snacks before dinner, he doesn’t want you to spoil your appetite. But if you come home from a hard day, expect cookies and milkshakes and whatever junk he could get his hands on. He might even be a cheeky little shit and steal a sip or a bite from you. Just to see you try and hide a smile when you’re annoyed at him.
Hannibal is an intense man, but in his house, behind closed doors, that’s when he lets his guard down. He’s more chill and complacent when he knows there are no prying eyes watching. He’ll change into something comfy and put on a hoodie, because he knows an hour later you’ll pretend to be cold and ask for it. He thinks it’s cute that you like things that smell like him and it brings you comfort. But again, he’s cheeky as shit about it, offering to get you your own hoodie first just so he can here you beg and make up a lame excuse why you need his.
Hannibal isn’t one to watch tv, he’s more a book reader. But he will totally binge watch whatever movie you’re in the mood for. But if you’re too tired to look at the screen and just want to shut your eyes, he’ll put on a record and read to you. It doesn’t matter really what he’s reading, you’re not listening to a word he says, just enjoying the sound of his voice. He will pull you closed and lean your head on his shoulder, stroking your hair or rubbing small circles on your back as he reads.
He’d smile at you if you start to snore. My man is so fucking soft in that moment, let me tell you. It’s like all his sins are washed away the second he lays eyes on your sleeping form. His own personal Angel, made just for him. Of course, when you wake up, he won’t tell you that he was starting at you awe stuck and puppy eyed for like an entire hour. He will sneak in a few forehead kisses, he can’t resist.
Now for some not safe for work stress relief, Hannibal is down for that too. I fully believe this man is a switch. If you’ve had a shit day, and you don’t want to think anymore. No problem, he will think for you. You don’t know what you want but he does. A little-
“Bedroom now.” Would leave his lips in a commanding tone.
Don’t think he didn’t notice you little smirk when you stammer out a “yes sir” and excitedly scurry off. He doesn’t even give you time to speak before he’s pulling you to the edge of the bed and removing any obstacle in his way. Shoes, don’t need them, underwear, why bother? They’re tossed haphazardly out of the way and he’s dipping his head between your legs without hesitation. Hannibal is a greedy little shit, he’ll make you cum 3 times with just his tongue alone.
Trust me, you’re in for a long night. He’ll worship every inch of you body until you don’t even remember why your mood was sour in the first place. He loves hearing your breathless stutter, or the way you scream his name. Hope you weren’t hungry for dinner, cause neither of you are leaving that room until you’re blissed out and sleepy eyed.
Now if you’ve come home in a bad mood cause your boss was pushing your buttons. Well Hani is there to be your humble servent. Whatever you ask, he’s ready to do. He quickly respond to your feverish and hungry kiss. And adores the way you growl as you nip at his neck. He doesn’t care if you’re gentle, man likes it a little rough anyways. You’re so desperate you don’t even really make it the the bedroom. Clothes are just littered in a trail along the floor.
Sex by the fireplace on his nice plush rug? Yes please! He loves watching you when you’re dominate. Don’t get me wrong, submissive you could make his knees weak. But damn do you look hot bouncing up and down on his dick while you choke him. And he will be vocal about it. Damn is it magical hearing that man whimper at your touch. Bad day at work? Completely forgotten, how can you think of anything else when Hannibal is so turned on by you he can’t even decide which language he wasn’t to praise you in. Switching back and forth finding any word his brain can muster.
Leave marks all over his body, he will wear them with pride! I can totally see him when he’s alone, admiring your handy work in the mirror. Sometimes he wishes you would leave something more visible, something he couldn’t hide with one of his suits. Just so everyone would know that he’s yours, and you’re his. If you really want to be mean and torture him to get out your frustration, handcuffs are your best friend. Sit him on the couch and put his hands behind his back.
Man will be squirming to touch you. But your firm voice telling him no. TELLING THE HANNIBAL LECTER NO!!! If anyone else did that they’d be dead. You’re the only one that can tame the beast. He’s totally a brat about it too, like he will rile you up just so you’ll torture him a little more. Again, forget about dinner, the two of you will just have to have a big breakfast in the morning.
But at the end of the night he will be checking in. Just making sure you’re really ok. Hannibal is proud as fuck if you tell him he actually made you feel better. It’s going straight to his head and boosting his ego. That’s right, only he can make you forget all about your shitty day. And he’s not going to let you forget that 🥰

Another of the most direct parallels in Sandman is that of Death and Destruction
And it's why I believe, even in the absence of canonical evidence otherwise that Death was very much the one person in the family to whom Destruction would have talked about his path most, would have taken it, and is human enough to in the end be at least slightly resentful that Destruction can do what she cannot.
One of the most important bits of A Winter's Tale is that it firmly establishes that Destruction's view in Brief Lives is as much that of an unreliable narrator as everyone else in Sandman. None of the Endless have a fuller picture any more than humanity does. Not even Destiny, as is shown in Overture and mentioned first by Delirium. Certainly not Death, who as the most human of her family reflects the deeply flawed and vengeful humanity of Sandman and the DCU, not the Star Trek idealistic version.
This is one of the bits that shows Death and Destruction interacting together and I believe it points to the way I write them before he leaves. Due to the ways their functions overlap they spent a lot of time together at work, they were able to discuss things. And here's the thing. Death says when she left reality nearly unraveled. Destruction, when he leaves, ensures that reality doesn't.
I believe to a point this is because the Endless really are dual entities, on the one hand, and that as change his function allows him this freedom in a way none of the rest of his siblings enjoy. He can step away, he can pursue an independence. And yet....
"And I thought about walking away. And one day I did." And the gap between what happens with Death, and what happens with Destruction is profound.
I believe that this also reflects, as is noted more than once in Sandman, that Death is not bound by the rules of the First Circle where the other Endless are. This grants her great power and flexibility none of her siblings have. It also carries with it deep and lasting weaknesses that none of her siblings have, as well.
I also believe that this ability to skip right past the rules that bind the other Endless is why Death so repeatedly and freely grants exemptions from dying. She is not bound by the rules, and thus by her function, in the same ways.
So do I believe when she says 'everyone can know the things that Destiny can know' that she is saying this because she herself does? It hinges on what makes a better story. It also co-exists with "I don't need to know the future because when it's the future it's me."
So in my view, in the end, the gaps between Death and Destruction and their similarities mean a great deal. Death and Destruction both left. One learned the hard way that her function was essential to reality working, went back to work, and came close to breaking in a very different way and narrowly avoided that fate. The other left much sooner, in a manner that shows his function works differently. It is also not a coincidence that the two most emotionally adjusted of the Endless spend the most time among mortals, at one point left the Endless and tried to leave their functions altogether, or that they find peace and solace in embracing both halves of it.

When Sam rocks up to Heaven they all have a massive gathering at the roadhouse to welcome him. The place is packed out with folks who know the Winchesters and their friends. There’s a few live bands and when they finish their sets, that’s when the karaoke starts. Plenty of classic rock and country and dancing and Dean singing his little heart out. It’s 1am when the place starts dying down, the crowd thinning out to just those closest to Sam and Dean with a few exceptions, all competing to be the last one standing. Most are too tired to sing now and there’s little groups of people sitting around reminiscing, taking turns putting on song requests over the speakers. Bobby has dozed off by the fire pit outside, sharing a blanket with Ellen as Rufus recounts tales of he and Bobby’s hunting days. Charlie, Jo and a few others still have a some energy left to keep dancing. Pamela and Ash are still knocking back the shots. Dean barely has left Cas’ side all night, aside from getting up for the karaoke. He’s been mulling over how to break it to Sammy, if someone already hasn’t dropped the bomb in conversation.
When someone puts on Led Zeppelin’s Rock and Roll over the speakers, the room livens up again and Dean notices that Cas’ leg is bouncing away to the beat. When Cas mentions this is his favourite Zepp song, Dean is fascinated. It isn’t one of the 13 tracks on the mixtape Dean made for him but it stuns him that Cas likes Zepp enough to listen to the rest of the Discography. In that moment, he craves to find out everything he doesn’t know about his angel. he vows that if he ponders or wonders anything about him, he’ll ask everything and anything, even the things he was too afraid to ask when they were both living and pining. At the moment? Dean is wondering if Cas can dance. Dean’s never been much of a dancer himself but he had a one night stand with one. She had spent the hours leading up to it teaching him the basics. He hadn’t been dying about it then but damn does Dean want to find out if dancing with Cas will change his entire perspective on things.
So he asks and when Cas says he doesn’t know because he hasn’t tried, Dean whisks him off to the dance floor to show him the ropes with a “wanna find out?” When the trench coat gets tangled between them one too many times, Dean eagerly helps Cas tug it off and tosses it over the back of nearby chair. He isn’t sure when Cas’ tie comes off or what the hell he should be teaching Cas, a bit of country? A jive? Their dancing is whole mix of things yet nothing at all. We’re making it up as we go Dean thinks, remembering those exact words from the night Cas first rebelled for him.
Rules don’t matter as they tug at each others hands, dance close, push away, flail arms and move legs clumsily, narrowly avoid bumping into Pam and Ash who are having the time of their lives on the dance floor beside them. Ash tumbles over at one point, Charlie accidentally elbows Dean in the back, it doesn���t matter, because all Dean sees is Cas’ eyes transfixed on his own or trialing over his body, all Dean sees and all that matters is Cas.
It turns out that Cas has a thing for rhythm and Dean could dance all night - he just hadn’t danced with the right person before. An hour later, the two transcend into a slow dance to Dean’s favourite Ten Years Gone, with Dean breathless and Cas dishevelled. It used to hurt when he let himself think too hard about why this one always reminded him of Cas. All Dean wants now, as he sings the lyrics under his breath, is to take Cas out back and press him into the wall and tell him he loves him too over and over again between kisses.
Mary smiles at the mind-blown look on Sam’s face as she watches it all go down. It’s a look of since when did Dean dance? and with Cas? and then the realisation of Oh. Holy shit. with a smile filling his face. She gives herself a pat on the back for her song choices - all a Winchester ever needs is a good Zepp song or two to sort everything out.

Continuing my liveblog of the early, 1992 draft of the IwtV movie script~
Okay where did we leave off?
Ah. Right. And OH boy, that "papa's waiting for us" line has some potentially horrifying implications. (Final version, she says "Papa left us and didn't come back.") Maybe her mother was just lying to her about it, but if she really does have a living father out there somewhere then UH OH everything that's about to happen is even worse than it already was!!
Louis feeding on Claudia and Lestat taunting him about it plays out pretty much the same
More of Louis being ready to throw hands with Lestat. Wish we could have seen them running on rooftops like this!
... The final cut has Louis holing up in a sewer drain and Lestat mocking him a little bit before trying to reason with him about his vampire nature: "Evil is a point of view. God kills indiscriminately, and so shall we. For no creatures under God are as we are. None so like Him as ourselves." Lestat brings Louis back to the inn and Claudia's already there waiting to be turned.
MEANWHILE, in the early draft:
The WHOOOOOLE backstory
I can't decide whether this is hilarious or a bummer, honestly. On the one hand, having Lestat as a more sympathetic character from the outset would have been interesting to see. You could make a whole AU out of that and it be really fascinating and fun. The movie(s) could have been a sort of retcon reboot for the series, which may or may not have panned out well, but could've been an interesting experiment.
On the other hand, the pacing of this movie would have been terrible and the framing story with Daniel would have been kind of pointless and confusing, on top of the obvious problems with Louis' and Claudia's reasons for hating Lestat later. It's kind of massively important to the plot that Louis couldn't pry any useful teachings out of Lestat no matter how much he tried, and that he was sure Lestat only wanted him for his money. Doing away with both of those things PLUS making Lestat gentler and more willing to talk about his personal history just makes Louis' intense dislike of him seem unreasonable lmfao
Anyway, let's see how The Vampire Lestat might have been adapted as a film!
