2012 vs 2017. 5 years ago in October I started bookbinding. I like to think I've come a long way even though I haven't had a teacher to show me what to do in person. I've had bookbinder friends who have helped me get where I am today. I wouldn't be here without their help. If there is anyone who had been told, or thinks that someone can't learn a craft without someone to physically there to teach them, show them this video to prove them wrong. Latest completed custom ordered leather journals. Personally, I prefer aging because it gives better contrast. But this time, journals are in a natural leather color tone.

The Medieval Art Of Bookmaking Reclaims Its Place In Modern Craft
aLexLibris is an online shop which crafts medieval style leather journal. These designers have inherited the practice of bookmaking, passed on from generations, and with over 15 years of experience, they have preserved an art form in demise.
