Sam is not the naive 34 year old with stars in his eyes and ecstatic at landing the role of his acting career. That genuine authentic man is not the same man who sourced, negotiated with and paid an escort to literally take part in a walk of shame.
Shame because it’s a lie. It’s not what was posted to JJ and then People, touted as a new mystery woman, a new relationship. It was a transactional arrangement to mislead that it was a new romance.
Don’t excuse his behaviour as a PR strategy that he had no control over. He has now been involved in the world of contracts for both OL and SS/GGC. He is in a financial position to have very good legal advice. He knows he way around negotiating a deal. Add in I do believe that he is an intelligent thoughtful man. Which makes this even more curious because it is just so appalling bad.
Of course it’s just a storm in this corner of the online world. But as we see regularly what is written about here does find its way into mainstream discussions.
Sam is at a crossroads in his professional life and a stain such as this contract with an escort to appear as a girlfriend will follow him and questions will be asked as to the idiocy of his actions.
Stop with the DM’s apologizing and trying rationalise Sam’s actions. He was not mislead by his PR, his manager or anyone else. He is the one who pays the invoices for professional services rendered.

I knew from the beginning that Steve wasn't a troll. His account is typical of a normal guy, with a family and who plays sports. It wasn't a newly created account, and his followers were normal people. I looked at the list of who he followed, and in common were only Sam, Valbo, and EDA, nothing reported to Outlander, or that could indicate he wanted to cause chaos with his comment.

Many people from across the dash came to this Anon submission box or in DMs, with hundreds of messages. Tones ranged from envious and patronizing to pure nastiness. I regret nothing.
Thanks to your hints, I took half an hour to corroborate info and I am now down to 4 names . Three of those accounts are now private and I think we both know why.
I never engage with strangers like this and I will never understand why people do. However, I think you did the right thing. And yes, I think I know who Steve is - a profile pic is enough. I will never disclose that to anyone.

Here’s the thing anyone who has/had a toddler knows if the weather is dry and may be chilly you dress accordingly and head out to that park/playground. Get all that energy out and hope for one nap at the very least.
Especially if the family is used to early starts 🌅. It’s the rhythm of life. Parks and playgrounds are filled with young children, dog owners and early raiser exercise enthusiasts. Working out getting hot, removing a layer of clothing. It’s not that hard to understand.
Having been in 🏴 when the temp is chilly for a non Scot it’s different for locals. Suns out 💪🏻 out!

I always read the comments on Sam's posts, because some are very cringe and that sometimes amuses me. Well, on a post by Sam on March 24th, there was a comment from a guy called Steve, from what I saw on his profile (when it was still open) he's a guy who lives in Glasgow and he's a climber, on his profile he had several photos of indoor climbing and outdoor climbing. In the comment he said that he saw Sam early in the morning in a park walking with what must have been Sam's little nephew, but he didn't approach because he was with his little daughter and the daughter was having a tantrum because she didn't want to go home. A fake account (without a photo and with a meaningless name) then asked him if who he saw with Sam was a child, because Sam's nephew is a young man. He responded the boy was approximately his daughter's age (three years old) and definitely a toddler. Then the sock account said it wasn't Sam and he replied that he was sure it was Sam. The fake account responded to him aggressively. When I saw the whole story, I left a message on his profile explaining why that fake account was being so aggressive towards him. He thanked me, made his profile private and deleted the comments he made. I don't know if someone took a print, but I thought it was very strange that Sam is walking very early in the morning in a park with a toddler. But I don't know if his brother has other children so I was keeping this to myself 🤷♀️.
