I'm a weird case, because I have an unusual name and I'm a man who writes lesbian fiction. I've gotten a LOT of reviews referring to me as Miss Cannon, and I love it every time. If they're not assuming I'm a man after reading what I wrote, I must have done a pretty good job (the lead actress in the webseries based on my books admitted she thought I was a woman at first).
So for me, being misgendered is a big compliment. 😁 (But I always correct when I can... I don't want anyone to think I'm TRYING to trick them or presenting myself as someone I'm not. I don't even use a pen name, this has been my weird name since birth).
