fellas is it gay to fall into a dark nightmarish depression after your son deliberately inhales a giant physical dragon embodiment of an ancient plauge and the tortured souls of its thousands of victims to stop it from destroying the world and turns into a huge wyrm (and takes your sword with him which is holding his unstable mutated form together)

- this is a horror/infection au

- both dragon bloom and the amalgamation are two ocs of mine

- it's a self-indulgent passion project I made purely for fun and comfort and not to be taken SUPER seriously lol

(I am NOT a lore professional im sorry)

- its a time skip of abt 10-ish years and kirby is growing up and starting to hit the "puberty" of his species, aka growing wings and horns, relying less of floating with puffs of air. he's also gained a skill for summoning, directing and manipulating warp stars; hence the staff he carries. he can still inhale and use copy abilities, but he dosent need to rely on it for an upper hand in battle anymore (which is definitely helpful. because this is an INFECTION au.

- dedede is not possessed, just upgraded and stylish hehe

- the amalgamation is kinda like one big embodiment of an ancient plauge/curse and the tortured souls of the old race of dragon people it wiped out. it was sealed away in a sky island, but fell out of it and crash landed in a rift/limbo between popstar/dreamland and earth/animal kingdom, affecting and spreading the supernatural plauge to both kingdoms. without the beast, the sky island began to fall (so basically some majora's mask things going on here. u feel me)

- dragon bloom is the last of that dragon species. he, elflin and fecto are related, in the way that a tiger is related to a house cat

- fecto and elflin are kinda more like two halves of a full entity. fecto harbors the pure god-like energy elflin once had. (think like.... sapphire and ruby (garnet) from steven universe kindaaa hsgdhdg)

the surplus of energy from fecto's body keeps the animal kingdom running (like the great zapfish from splatoon lowkey JAGSJSGS)

- due to the time dilation, the animal kingdom has months worth more of experience with the virus than with dreamland. they also discovered that elflin is immune, and his blood/dna contains antidotic material that soothes the illness. through the rift torn by the beast, they reached out to the neighboring kingdom of dreamland to share their discoveries and deliver aid. the two kingdoms formed a strong alliance and would temporarily merge into one until the outbreak was defeated, the kings and princess befriending each other and getting along very well

- andd.. that's kinda it for the basic things I guess lmao

- oh well uh. I mean. as kirby grows into an early teen, the literal unquestionable TRAUMA he experienced from all of his other "adventures" in the past start to catch up with him finally. this disaster wasn't something he could immediately fix. he was so used to bad things happening because of a specific bad guy that he and his friends could track down and defeat, and everything would be sunshine and rainbows. but there was no "bad guy", not this time. there was literally nothing he could do except help other fight off infected, grab supplies and deliver messages. I wouldn't say it was driving him INSANE, but he felt helpless and he didn't like it. things rlly got bad when meta knight (his dad) got reckless on the battlefield and got himelf bitten, nearly FULLY turning but getting saved at the last minute. along with seeing other townsfolk suffering, and king DDD (another father figure) working and worrying himself to near exhausted unconscious (especially at a time where he should be taking it easy and resting. I might elaborate on that later, but not now), it took a toll on the lil pink guy's psychological health, definitely. maybe some borderline savior complex stuff starts happening? idk but he's. not ok. to the point where he does a reeeeally big and drastic thing at the end with the amalgamation and it's like rlly crazy and sad and stuff (if I saw my few previous posts you miiight know what I'm talking about) lmaooohehehehe

also fun fact for you guys. baby manta rays are called "pups" and irl they can survive completely independent from their birthgivers from the moment they're born.

I think it would be funny if this found a way into the fankid in the form of a baby who somehow in the span of barely 12 hours already knew how to walk, grab things, feed and hydrate itself, and communicate wants and needs effectively through gestures like a mute toddler. even though it's a literal newborn.
