When I was younger and researching the autism diagnosis criteria and symptoms, I thought “oh I couldn’t POSSIBLY be autistic.” Because when I read “takes everything literally” I thought it literally meant EVERYTHING and I was like “I don’t take EVERYTHING literally, just most things!” And I just realized the other day that it didn’t actually mean EVERYTHING and that was an overstatement.

Oh, I'm a big fan of Brigid. I know she's sometimes compared to Athena/Minerva, but she has that hearth deity thing going on, too, and I really quite like that. Gentle strength and remembrance and all that.

I was born in the wake of Samhain, and I enjoy the chaotic energy of fire (even though I live in California, where chaotic fire energy can be a big problem). The feeling of, "Let's just toss everything into the bonfire and start over."

As far as mythological figures/archetypes, I'm very drawn to Dionysus for the chaos, Loki for the trickery, Circe for the prudent use of power, and Medusa for my own desire to be a little monstrous.

Do you have any plans for the Summer Solstice?

Greek or Roman incarnations of the Olympic Pantheon?

Oh boy. If you mean in terms of personal religious practice, neither. If you mean culturally, I think I am slightly more familiar with the Greek ones (which is weird, considering I'm Italian), but I would be lying if I said I dedicated much time to deepen my knowledge of both. I should, probably, I do have a fascination with both pantheons, but I'm also lazy, and I did spend a bit more time learning about the Celtic and Norse deities.

I'm a therapist, and I had a very funny moment in session the other day.

A client was talking about her love for fandom, and Good Omens. She described how Tumblr feels like a good place to come share and enjoy Good Omens art and discussion, and then she excitedly shared, "And Neil Gaiman is on there!".

I had to sit very politely, smiling and nodding, when I really wanted to go "Yes, I've followed him for years" 😂

her name was Marsha P Johnson, and we have her to thank for so much.

remember, the first Pride was a riot, and she was one of the brave souls who endured it to help carve the path which so many of us walk today. she helped found several activist groups regarding LGBT safety and wellbeing. and she was absolutely radiant, too.

thank you, Marsha. we remember you.
