My family's Visa has been denied and now trapped in Addis
Dear supporters and donors, I am writing this again with a heavy heart, the first time we started this fundraiser and with your generous support only, we have managed to collect the amount that was needed to cover the cost of my family traveling.
On the 11th of May my family has arrived at Kigali airport, as their journey started from Gonder (the Ethiopian border city with Sudan) then to Addis to finally reach Kigali, Rwanda.
but the visa was rejected.
According to the migration officers, the amount of 3000 USD that we collected already isn’t enough for Living costs for a Sudanese family.As a result they were sent back to Addis.
Now we are dealing with the unexpected cost of living in Addis, waiting to find a solution to fulfill the visa requirements.

It makes me sad that most people around me are so unbelievably burnt out from work and life that they are just truly emotionally unavailable and don't even wanna use their energy for anything beside going out partying once a weekend
It's like watching friends who you've seen be silly and have deep talks work jobs to the point of stress where they are incoherent and respond to messages like legit 6 days later and not in a rude way but genuinely they don't have the mental capacity to do shit anymore
Working jobs and paying bills shouldn't take everything out of people to the extent it really does
Even when I'm off work and I had a shorter shift most of the time I truly have nothing left in the tank after the combo of emotions and physical labor

It feels like for a while in there that people were dropping them as a sponsor but now that the controversy has slightly dimmed there are so many ads for them again; do not give them your information, do not give them your money
I know insurance is a pain in the ass and mental health treatments cost too much out of pocket for most people. So do they, that's why they're making this little bait and switch operation. Helping people is, at best, a side product of their data harvesting, and at worst just a trick to lure people in.
