Shoko found herself biting on her thumb, papers still scattered in front of her, in the seemingly chaotic but in fact very particular way... for a reason she couldn't remember. There was something there that wasn't quite right, some inconsistency in a test results she was vaguely aware of, but couldn't quite pinpoint.

Maybe she was just staring at them for too long. Still, she elected to blame Emi. Playfully, for the most part. She was after all just sitting there, quiet as a mouse. And still... Shoko's eyes lingered for a few seconds on the other's figure, quiet sigh released from parted lips, corners turning into a somewhat defeated smile.

"Not what I said." One brow raised, she got up from her seat and got a little closer to the redhead, mirroring the way she tilted her head. "But since you're aleeady here and working isn't working out... how about a coffee?"

"Is that so?" The red headed woman gave the other a small, yet quite teasing smile, crossing her leg over the other and her arms under her chest, Emi wasn't trying to distract Shoko, she was here because she was bored and Ijichi wasn't around to be found to tease.

Her head tilt to the side, letting her hair move from her face and her pale lilac eyes shine in amusement.

"Do you want me to leave, darling?" Not that she was moving to do so, as her legs were still crossed and her back glued to the chair, so even if Shoko tells her to go, Emi wasn't going to move at all.

"i am tired of abiding by your rules, causing me to second-guess my every single move"

You're always polite and kind with others. That makes people feel comfortable around you and many would consider you a close friend. However, you seldom feel connected with those around you. You feel like they don't know you, the real you, and they never will because you'll never allow them. It takes a great amount of time and trust for you to show yourself as you truly are, because you repress most of your feelings and desires, and mask them with a calm and collected personalty. It just seems easier that way, safer. But remember that if you bottle everything up, it will explode one day, maybe in ways you aren't proud of.
